Hi All,

Caroline asked me to post this message on her behalf:

Hi there

I’m sorry for not sending this out sooner but once we had found Laurel and got her safely back in the pack, I had to rush around rather to get my life back in order before heading off to Crufts which is where I am now.

I know with certainty that every one of you understands how it feels to lose a Siberian even if it’s only for the shortest of times – no matter how careful we are Siberians are a constant worry and their security is paramount to all of us. So when I heard that Laurel had run off (and particularly because she is timid and still only a two year old) my worry regarding her safety was huge. I won’t relive everything that we all went through for those three days and nights but suffice to say that when those wonderful FC guys rang to say they had not only just seen her but had the sense to follow her in their van until she disappeared into a patch of broom, my relief was just as great – although we hadn’t yet got her back at least she was still alive and in an area of the forest which was relatively ‘safe’. Having raced to the forest, got directions from the FC planting team and then driven to where they had last seen her, Chris and I went in opposite directions calling to her. I heard the tiniest chink from her collar tag and she came creeping out of the broom straight into my arms.

The joy of everyone at her safe return has been amazing but even more than that has been the fantastic response of so many many people to her having gone missing and the incredible efforts put in by everyone – whether in support or in action – have been wonderful. From total strangers to a huge number of husky people – so many people have been out hunting for her both day and night and so many people helped in the background – taking phone calls, sending messages out, thinking of ways to let even more people know she was missing and so on.

So to all of you, Chris and I would like to say the most huge THANK YOU possible. It’s hard to believe that so many people got involved and gave up so much time to look for her but it is – as I know you will all understand – just so very much appreciated.

Thank you all again.

With love
Caroline and Chris

Pauline :-)

I dont own a printer. If someone can print these off and hand them out at the loss point that would be brilliant. I'd like to hang them up in areas where I search. No sighting of her today. I'm confident a sighting will soon occur she will be feeling hungry now.
