Ben was 11 months old when he went missing so would now be approaching 2 years old and his owners are still desperate for news of their much loved pet.
Ben has been nominated to appear in the Countrymans weekly

Had a walk from the park, via Feathersone this morning, then down Halfpenny Lane, checking out gardens etc, also passed on Ben's info to a man who lives off Halfpenny Lane somewhere. Sorry he has not even been heard of since he went missing. I think someone must have taken him in, because if involved in a RTA we would have found him, I'm sure.

Sighting at Glasshoughton area, I think we should discount this, as I spoke to Elaine, who lost Ozzy, Springer, last year, and she has seen this dog also, but it has a collar and tag on.

Have been out for another couple of hours looking, spoke to the owner on the way back, they have done eveything humanly possible to find Ben. I did suggest putting up lots of posters.Last edited: 2012-03-10 09:41:27 by Jytte - Area Volunteer - West Yorkshire

Have walked down the Lane to Featherstone, people are aware at Featherstone side of railway, at those allotments, walked up to Park Lane, and back to the park/racecourse. ( Railway is fenced off for those worrying). Have spoken to quite a few people that know Ben is missing, last seen around Halfpenny Lane area I think, he has probably been picked up an not reported.

Hubby just gone out with Jack to have another look around for Ben.

Have had a walk around for about one and half hours this morning, scanning fields, and peoples' gardens (!) Spoken to some very helpful people who are all keeping a lookout. Called in at owners who are doing a great job, and will be getting more posters up. Kep127, careful about putting posters on trees, WMDC are a bit funny about that, as it is technically "fly-posting" and might issue a fine.
Sadly no sightings or anything, hope he is somewhere safe and warm, after yesterday, when it rained most of the time.

Posters printed I will start posting first thing tomorrow when out with my dogs, I live in WF7 not too far away.

I will walk around the area with my dogs in the morning, and "spy" in gardens of the estates close by.

Admin
Sorry to see that BEN is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (37624)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
