Earlier post failed so I have split the text into four parts for all to read. This has been written by Belle's owner "mumofthree"

Hi Everyone
I have started a new account on Facebook and am starting off by posting two articles about our beloved Casey who was tragically killed. My solicitor has been absolutely brilliant, working on this case and not asking for a penny. He has now submitted letters to Kensington and Chelsea council and UK Power networks. Any comments of complaints to them from the public obviously would be good as this should never happen again. Town Hall number is 0207 361 3000.
Thank you very much to all who already know about the story, your kind words and comments have really helped. We have, right from the very start asked for any monies from Casey’s death, be paid to an animal charity of our choice.
It has come to my attention since this terrible ordeal that this is not an isolated case and I will endeavor to bring awareness in preventing this happening to others, especially dog owners and their pets.
It is awful to think that there were workman and also a doctor at the scene and nobody knew what to do, they wouldn’t help and stood on the pavement watching our dog die.
This should be part of basic Health and Safety training.

PART 1 of Belle's story -
After Casey's death, I decided to get a companion for Baby, cross podenco, (rescued in Spain) . She was so sad just like Chloe and Stephanie and myself. Chloe, my eldest daughter, who has three rescued greyhounds, Duke, (from Walthamstow), Ruby and Timmi, (from Hersham Hounds), suggested that I went to see a girl called Emma who runs a rescue called Furry Friends.
I said to Emma that I wanted to re home a dog that nobody else would take. Hahahaha she had a few like that. One little girl which Emma rescued along with her brother, stood out. Her name was Cher and her brother Sonny. I had a long think about it, and, after two minutes, said yes little Cher was the one! Although Emma had told me she was a feral dog who had spent most of her life in a barn and then in a crate somewhere in Ireland, this didn't worry me. Casey had been a feral dog too, though obviously homed at some point and then kicked out. She was killing chickens in order to survive when I found her in Spain and it took me a good six months to even get her into the house. I knew I could handle Cher and asked Emma to bring her over.
I secured the little garden at the back of my flat and she arrived in a cage. Emma said she would sleep in there on the command of 'feral in your bed', but that never happened! I changed her name to Belle and over the next seven months, putting in lots of love and dedication, my little girl changed so much. Her confidence grew and she started trusting me. I loved her so much, even though I cried loads with frustration.
Stephanie, my youngest daughter and myself had started taking her out for walks with both a harness and collar and lead on and last weekend we took her to Battersea Park, she loved it. I was so proud of her and she was proud of herself too.

PART 2
A few days later I asked my sister to pick me up in her car as I wanted to take Belle for a walk with Baby, Milo, (Stephanie's rescue dog, also from Emma), and Gail’s three rescue dogs, Lucy, a greyhound cross whippet, (from The Mayhew), Jasmine, a galgo and Pixie, another cross podenco, (both from Spain). Pixie runs on three legs because when she was found one oh her back legs was broken.
We all had a wonderful walk in Hyde Park and it was the first time I had let Belle off the lead. She ran with the pack and then ran back to me wagging her tail and off she went again. I was so happy. From the park it was a short walk back to my sister’s and Belle walked confidently by my side on the pavement. Six contented dogs slept soundly until it was time to go home.
Outside I lifted Baby and Milo into the back off the car and just as I went to lift Belle, she wriggled out of her harness and took off. Cars shreaked to a halt and Belle ran down one busy street only to come back again and shoot down another. I tried to catch her but by the petrified tone in my voice she must of thought I was angry and she reverted straight back to the nervous dog she was when she first arrived. Next thing I know she was heading down towards the Bayswater Road, somehow made it over and all I could see was the little white tip on her tail vanishing back into the park.

PART 3
In my heart I didn’t think I would see Belle again, not alive anyway. The traffic through the park is constant and she didn’t know the area or her way back to my sister’s home, she didn’t know her way to anywhere, she had only been out three times before and that was on a lead. I called my daughter Steph and she just burst into tears. I was feeling dreadful. This was a nightmare I never wanted to go through and it was all my fault.
We searched for Belle until 10pm that night. It was dark and cold and we all knew how frightened she would be. I had called Emma and she sent me a contact from Doglost. A lady called Stephanie had a poster ready to print out within half an hour. Stephanie, my daughter and I left Gail’s at midnight and were up again at 4.30 am as Hyde Park opened at 5am. Along with Baby and Milo we walked round the park calling Belle and then crossed over into Kensington Gardens. Steph and I both had a hunch that Belle may have been in a part we call the rough patch. We stayed there for what seemed like ages, calling her name over and over again, somehow hoping she would magically appear, but she didn’t and when we left the area we both felt devastated.
Steph dropped me home with Baby and Milo and went straight back out again to get the posters printed and then she and Gail went back to Hyde Park, handing out the postes to dog walkers and sticking them up everywhere. I called and emailed numbers on Doglost’s list of contacts and anyone else I could think of that may be of been able to help but all the time I just kept thinking this is going to be a mammoth task, Belle could be anywhere by now, if not dead.
I prayed for a miracle. I didn’t want to win the lottery, (in order to help other animals), I didn’t care how many wees Belle had done on my carpet and sofa, I just wanted my little girl back home. Nobody knew her like I did and no one would be able to get close to her.
Steph and Gail were putting up the last of the posters and my sister suggested they should put one up outside the park, on Bayswater Road, opposite Lancaster Gate and after this they were going to head home to get a coffee and the dogs and go back out. They stuck the last of three posters up from a hundred printed and as they went to leave they turned round and Belle was just standing there watching them. (I get goose bumps thinking about this). It was as if someone had picked Belle up and placed her in front of them. Steph called her name and with that Belle bolted again. Steph chased her but couldn’t keep up and returned to my sister in a terrible state.
Gail called me and told me to get into a taxi with Baby and Milo and come to the park. I could tell by her voice something wasn’t quite right and I asked her if she had seen Belle, but not really wanting to hear the answer in case it was the worse of my fears, and she was lying somewhere in the road. When she said she had and Belle was alive, I just couldn’t believe it.

PART 4
I was back at the park within ten minutes, met my sister and Steph, we all exchanged words of confusion, dismay, excitement but most of all hope that this little girl was still there. How long would it take to find her again though was another matter.
Gail took me through the gate back into the rough patch, where the previous night we had hoped Belle would be. Plenty of places for a dog to take refuge and hide. One of the parks gardeners stopped in his van, he said that all the workers were driving around with Belle’s poster, he cracked a joke about how Belle being a feral would be alright as there were many things she could catch to eat. I know he meant well but I just wasn’t in the mood. Gail had gone on ahead and Steph was in the distance on the phone to one of her work colleagues arranging for her to bring more posters. As I said goodbye to the man I turned around and there was Belle. Running again with her two best friends and then she ran to me. Shaking and scared I picked my little girl up and held her so tightly to my chest. Smelling her head, was like smelling a new born baby’s, even though she stunk of foxes pooh! I called to my sister, ‘I have got her, I have got her’ , Gail came rushing over and quickly fastened a lead to Belle’s collar. I called Steph on her phone and watched her running, crying, towards us. She took Belle from me and couldn’t stop clinging on. I am not sure who was happiest Belle or us.
We went back to my sister, exhausted but feeling like we had won the lottery. Belle was ravenous, and after eating until she was full, closed her eyes and fell fast asleep. If only she had known the worry she had put us all through. The feeling of sickness hadn’t quite left us all but we opened a bottle of champagne anyway and toasted our glasses to Belle.
This is a story that we haven’t stopped talking about for a week and probably will not for a very long time. Somebody was shinning down on us, our prayers were answered. A true miracle. Thank you God
It wouldn’t be right not to mention our other two latest members of the family which have had to take a bit of a back seat due to the loss of Belle, rescued from Scooby, Medina, Spain two weeks ago. Felipa, an unknown crossbreed, joined my household.. An absolutely beautiful old girl, about thirteen, blind in one eye and back legs not too strong, settling in so well and gaining weight. Reminds me in many ways of Casey. Petro, a galgo, about four, very handsome and re homed by Chloe, has also settled in and taking over.
We are truly blessed with all our hounds.

I just want to say a big thank you to Aunt Stef for all her emails and putting the poster together for missing Belle. She gave me hope when I had none and words of comfort. You all do an amazing job and I know that I was one of the lucky ones. reading others stories on here, finding their dogs at Rainbow Bridge, is absolutely heart breaking.
I have left my happy story of how Belle was found, with Aunt Stef. It is quite long and she may decide to shorten it. For those who would like to read this, I am posting it onto facebook. Thank you once again for your dedication to our four legged companions. Deborah Eaton x

Dear Steph and everyone, thank you so much for your help and concern. It was only last week an article came out in The Standard about my dearly beloved Casey who was electrocuted and died, now I have lost my darling Belle. More than six months of patiently waiting for her to gain my trust and now I feel that I have totally let her down. I came back from the park an hour ago, with my other two dogs who Belle really loves, but no sign of her. Will start again tomorrow at dawn. Feel so sick thinking about how scared my precious little girl must be right now. Please say a prayer that she comes back to me safe and sound. Thank you again x
