- Oh dear,so sorry Charlie has not been found:((((
- 2012-03-15 19:13 Owl
- Many thanks to Mick and Lee from the Fell & Moorland who came and searched the warren thoroughly with their own fell terrier. We took Toby there as well but today he showed no particular interest in any particular holes though he searched several of them. Mick and Lee also checked a number of holes closer to the house where Charlie is known to hunt, but sadly today we have drawn a blank. I have bumped his page up to the top as he was not found where we thought he might be, and we have to think again.

- We will be coming over again tomorrow and would like to start at the big rabbit holes where Toby got excited. It could be that Charlie is somewhere in that network of holes, maybe further along.

- Wispa and I are going to help tomorrow in the hope that we can find a trail and narrow down the area Charlie was hunting in. It would be an old trail but it's definitely worth a try.

- I remember dear Toffee and I'm so sorry that Charlie has now gone missing Violet.
Please call the Fell and Moorland Club, the email Lizzy has sent your should have all the details. They don't have members in all areas but even if they don't have someone who can help in person they can give you advice.
Do you have any other dogs or know anyone who could walk the ground with another dog who could maybe give you an indication if Charlie is underground?
I'll advertise Charlie asap in the Countryman's Weekly magazine in case someone has picked him up

- Violet, I have left a message on your first mobile number with the number of a Fell and Moorland man who is always worth talking to. He knows a lot of terrier people, there may be a member of their network in your area. If Charlie has gone to ground he should be able to survive for a long time as long as he has access to rabbits and small rodents and to water. Water probably won't be a problem right now, there is usually some seeping through somewhere. Your best bet for searching is to go very late or very early when there is minimum background noise, then whistle and call down holes and listen. I left you my numbers as well, please give me a call.

- Hi Violet - will keep a look out for Charlie - hope he's safe and returns home soon. Have you considered putting a message out on Lincs FM? We did this when our dog went missing over Christmas and they were very helpful. Also, try to contact emergency vets - the one at North Hykeham especially will take emergencies from this area if they are found out of hours. This is how we got our dog back, because they checked through this website and contacted us. Hope this helps - keep your chin up xxx

- I will be out walking the countryside around Collingham this evening with my dogs, I will keep my eyes open for him just in case he has come down this way.
It may be worth speaking with Val at the Halfway Dogs Home between Collingham & Swinderby just in case someone finds him & takes him there directly.
Hope he is found & back home soon.Last edited: 2012-03-07 16:40:07 by SherwoodOwl - 2012-03-07 15:45 violet

- Spoke to owner, she lost a dog last year who was on here called Toffee, so is very upset over Charlie going missing. He went off with their Greyhound who came back without him. Charlie has gone off before but has always come home after 5 days. Unfortunately the area is full off rabbit holes, so he cannot be pinned down to 1 area. DW has been informed and vets and owner is going to put a poster in the local one-stop.

- Sorry to see that CHARLIE is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (37700)
