- Thank you for updating here. Hope some success with catching this dog. Regular feeding will keep it coming back, hope its caught soon. Could be a shy farm dog but also could be lost or dumped dog too so would be great to find out.

- Update: A neighbour of our's has been up to to the woods with his two Border collie's this weekend to check this dog.
He managed to get quite close and his thoughts were that the dog was aged 8-10 and probably a farm dog that was not used to socialising with other dogs as it was very shy and flew off when his dogs came close to play. The dog appeared to be in good health.
The farmer has a cage and is trying to catch the dog. He has been feeding it to. - 2012-03-08 14:12 Jackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester
- Thanks for checking up with the finder Spindle, very much appreciated. If they need any help with the trap etc, tell them to contact us.
Lizzy, Like your thinking with Gyp(ID 35544), not that far over the Yorkshire Dales and she could have been dumped in this area after they stole the landrover. It does say mainly black but this could be dirt from a distance. Keeping fingers crossed that this dog is caught soon, before anything bad happens.Last edited: 2012-03-08 14:13:11 by Jackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester - 2012-03-08 10:40 Unknown

- Spoke to person who put this dog on site. Cant bear thought of it being shot. The farmer is going to try and catch it by borrowing a trap. Given advice on how to go about it.

- The farmer behind us has who owns the land where the dog is located has notified the police and the local dog warden. Sadly because of the pregnant ewes the farmer has been instructed to destroy the dog if he feels it is necessary to protect the sheep.I have persuaded him to try and catch the dog first.
I cannot get a picture of the dog as the area up their is pretty wet and also quite vast.Last edited: 2012-03-08 08:11:58 by dolphinholmedog - 2012-03-07 12:59 Unknown
