I have received this from Ireland, they were sent it by somebody in England. I don't know if anyone can help, unfortunately I do not know the name of the person who owns the kennels in Whitchurch but there can't be too many in that area: "Ridgeback people any one know anything about this boy now in my friends kennel in Whitchurch. The Dog Warden brought in a middle aged Rhodesian Ridgeback Male, this boy has had recent surgery to his ear so somone loved him enough to fix the problem please re post in case he was taken out of his normal area and dumped, lovely boy!" - 2012-10-30 09:47 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge

- I have just had a message to say "Marley" is a staffordshire bull terrier and he has white on his chest. I believe the person who has him has looked on here to see if Simba was him. I have asked, via the person in touch with him, to ask for better photos so we can add to found. Also "Marley" is chipped but numbers not working so might find his owners if the dog warden is willing to write to them etc. So very sorry that they think this found dog is not Simba.

- Jytte, I believe it is the dog that they have called Marley, looks like the only way of contact is through facebook.
I will E-mail Simba's owner the photo and also the link to the facebook page
Thank you Margaret

- There is a post of a very similar male dog on the items for free or sale in and around Watton fb site. Pictures not great but dog is Micro chipped but can't find owners. This post has been removed because us was an 'animal freesite'. It has been copied to a pets for sale / wanted site Watton. I do have a note of the people who have the dog.
I have copied the picture to my wall, so that the picture can be seen.Last edited: 2012-10-25 07:56:50 by Margaretr1969 - 2012-10-24 22:08 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge

- Please can someone contact me asap, it may not be your dog, but it looks very similar. He has been aged as 1yr but that could be because he is small. I cannot upload a picture, but you can see his picture on facebook page Holly rescue Maitland. Or i can email it. He is in suffolk. I will ask pound to check for chip again in case it has migrated. x

- This morning tv programme have posted this on their website....
This Friday we’re intending to feature an item on missing pets. So if you’ve lost a pet, or think you’ve had one stolen, let us know and we might be able to feature them in our missing pets gallery. Email thismorning@itv.com with some good shots of your missing pet and a few details that might help: when you last saw your pet, any distinguishing marks, habits or characteristics. Maybe it was wearing a particular collar. We need your emails by 5.00pm Thursday the 10th May. http://www.itv.com/thismorning/life/reuniting-lost-pets-with-owners/ - 2012-05-09 09:08 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge

- are you able to say a more exact location where Simba went missing in NR31? I live on Sandy Lane Belton and yesterday I saw a young male walking what I would consider a 'small' ridgeback I have never seen him up the Lane and did think oh thats a new dog and walker - dog was calm and seemed happy with the walker but thought best to mention it if there is a chance he was taken rather than let out

I will E-mail general information including contact numbers for vets in the area.
I will add Simba's details to Dog Lost Norfolk and Suffolk facebook group.

- Sorry to see that SIMBA is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (37781)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
