- Hi All
I have contacted the dogs warden but no luck. we did a car boot on Sunday & Monday & we had all the posters we could get on my husbands Transit van. I was asked about all the different dog posters. I explained about the dogslost website. My husbans friend is going to enlarge, laminate & put magnetic strips on the back of the posters so that we can put them on the van when ever we use it. I thought this was a good idea. we shall see, thank you for your support everyone & remember dont give up, I know we wont. love to you all Caroline xxxxx - 2012-05-02 21:52 NickyJ

- Hi Carolinejayne, If you read Teddy 35377
(Female GSD) lost dog site you will see that we are hoping to hand out leaflets on these "local" missing dogs at the Chiltern Hills Vintage Car Rally on 20 May at Weston Turville. You may like to have Cutler (if he's not been found by this date) included in leaflet handouts. As there are a few thousand people that usually visit this Rally and you do wish to have Cutler's details handed out you might like to think about having leaflets printed in a larger quantity. If you are interested we can sort out collection locally of leaflets from you if this helps.Last edited: 2012-04-24 19:59:05 by ClaireC - 2012-04-21 17:13 elaine
- Hi Caroline Jayne, been looking on the animalwardens.co.uk website. Seems like a good resource to use re dogs they have found, shows breeds and post codes has colouring descriptions but no photos of the dogs they have found. I made enquiries re Cutler and other lost dogs in this area and if he matches any of the jack russells taken in recently but they say that they need the owner to make the enquiry as they get so many dogs in.

- Hi shereen, the trouble with these people is that they can still "fob" you off by just turning paper so you can hear down the line that they are doing something!
- 2012-04-13 22:19 Shereen
- Come Monday I will be calling the Highways department again as ive been patient waiting for this phone call... it cant be too hard going back over records so I will stay on the phone this time until I have had an answer.
- 2012-04-12 17:47 elaine
- This may or may not be relevant re a jack russell that went missing in Ley Hill in February which was a black and white one. Wondered if any confusion could have arisen between 'Cutler' and this one, which may or may not have been taken by the travellers. There was a picture of it in a local advertising paper 'South Bucks Star' in Chesham in February. eg if travellers took a jack russell, maybe it was not Cutler but the the other one. Re previous notes below.x

- Hi Shereen
Thankyou so much for doing this for me. We are going to the travellers site today to see if we can see cutler & we're also going to some other sites/parks in our area as well will let you no how we got on later. once again I really appriciate what your doing for me regarding the highways thanks Shereen xxxx - 2012-04-06 09:34 carolinejayne
- Hi Sam (Teddy's mum)
Thankyou for the encouragement we sometimes sit back & think should I have done more in the search for Cutler right after we lost him. We were 31/2 hours looking & calling him as soon as we had lost him. It was about half 8 in the evening that he was lost him & was already dark, the place we lost him has no street lighting so you can imagine how dark it was & erriely quite so he most defently would of heard us calling him. My husband said as it was right next to the A41 the noise from the traffic may of confused him. Thankyou so much for adding Cutler to your search & I shall continue at my end for all our dogs, THINK POSITIVE we let you know how we did lateras we are searching all caravan & mobil home parks today. Thankyou everyone xxxxxxxxxxx
The thing that really puzzles me is he had never ever lost track of us in the 8 1/2 years we'de had him. - 2012-04-06 09:25 carolinejayne
- Thanks Mel
Thankyou Mel
We live just down the road from Leyhill at Whelpley hill, I had seen the JRT from Leyhill on here, My husband & I are going to have a look in Chalfont st Peter today. We know a couple of people that live in Chalfont st Peter. I will let you no how we get on. We asked all the dog walker that we met yesterday about cutler & monty & asked them to tell other dog walkers about the lost dogs. We had a walk around near Ashridge & also asked 3 dog walkers there about Cutler & Monty. One was aware about Monty & had asked other walkers about him, so that's good. Keep your chin up all of you as our dogs will be reunited with us. THINK POSITIVE xxxxxxxxxxxxx

- I dont believe it!.the Highways department via the council is now closed untill Tuesday!,im sorry carolinejayne,I will contact them then for you.X
Please keep looking everyone.X - 2012-04-05 22:52 Mel
- I will ask around and see if I can find out more about the JRT that was stolen and then found on a travellers site. The smallholding that it was stolen from is on a bridleway so there is no passing traffic. I'm not 100% certain where Cutler was lost from as I don't know Berko that well but it's only about 3 miles from Ley Hill...

- Hi Carolinejayne,
so very sorry to hear that little Cutler is missing. teddy has been missing since the 13/12/11. If there is anything I can do to help you, please let me know. It is all so heartbreaking and very sad.
I am going to Thame Show on Sunday and Monday with sandwich boards plastered with Teddy and Quigley so will print off and raise awareness of cutler also.
Best regards,
Sam (Teddy's mum) - 2012-04-05 19:41 Shereen
- Thanks Mel,Thats definitely something carolinejayne should look into...so wierd as one minute he was there and the next he wasnt!
With his very distinctive ears he wouldnt be that dificult to spot would he!
carolinejayne I will Call highways in the morning and let you know. Thanks for looking for Monty too ; )Xx
- 2012-04-05 17:26 Mel
- I've only just seen that this little guy is missing! I live the Latimer side of Chesham. I don't know if you are aware but in middle of Feb on the Ley Hill side of Cowcroft Woods, where the smallholdings are, a Jack Russell was stolen from one of the smallholdings. It was found quite by chance 10 days later at a Traveller Site in Chalfont St Peter. I'm afraid that's all I know about where it was found but it might be worth asking the police traveller liaison officer.Last edited: 2012-04-05 17:27:38 by Mel

- Hi Shereen
I would really love you to call the highways. I am just unable to talk to them as I know I wont get the words out. I really do need to know if the news from the highways agency is good or bad. until then my search will continue. I am now on my way out with Cutlers puppy (he's 2yrs) Mr Gingles but mr for short, we are going back to where Cutler was lost & then we'll have a wander around where Monty was lost, will keep you posted. Thanks Shereen for being there, I would of gone mad now with out doglost. speak soon xx - 2012-04-05 11:43 Shereen
- Carolinejayne would you like me to call Highways for you?
- 2012-04-03 20:52 ClaireC
- Hi Carolinejayne, my husband and I have walked the Aylesbury ring today and sadly we saw no dogs at all. Very briefly saw our friend who works at The Plough, Gt Hampdentoday and he said he has not seen or heard of anybody saying that they have seen any "stray" dogs around.
- 2012-04-03 19:40 carolinejayne
- HI Shereen yes we go back to where cutler got lost every other day. I have had 2 calls from people saying they see a jackrussell in the woods where we lost cutler but it was the jackrussell from the near by farm, the other call was from a dog walker that rang to say he had found a jackrussell near the woods, he asked me some questions about cutler & he said i think i have him, me & my husbasnd raced to his house but it was not cutler we were completely devistated as we really thought he had been found. If it takes me forever I will not stop looking until I know. Im to scared to get intough with the highways agency incase that tell me what i dont want to know. some one else sugested getting in touch with them but ill wait a little longer befor i get in touch with them. thank you to everyone for your support its a god send, will keep you posted thanks xxx

- Hi Claire
Yes i did email a message to the radio station. they did mention dogs lost uk twice and very clearly. they also mentioned about a link to the site so that would be good. i had a walk around where cutler got lost today with our other dog but i didn't walk that far as i was worried incase our other dog went as well we are to affaid to let him off his lead so we purchased one of those extendable leads which is ok. thank you for all you have done. xxxx - 2012-03-20 19:48 ClaireC
- Hi Carolinejayne, I did speak to my friend at The Plough, Cadsden this afternoon but sadly no joy. I have put a poster up at Butlers Cross Village Hall along with Quigley & Teddy whose posters are there. Did you ring the Radio station because I did hear a dog mentioned but didn't quite get the breed or name in time. I did suggest to Quigley's Mum & Dad and likewise Teddy GSD thats missing in this area to do the same. Announcement was about 4pm this afternoon. If you haven't please consider and does make a lot more people aware of missing dogs.
- 2012-03-20 12:08 carolinejayne
- HI I have reported Cutler missing/lost to all local authorities. Chiltern district. Dacorum, herts county council, Aylesbury vale, Bucks county council, Berkshire council. Im now going to ring the radio station to see if they will give cutler a mention aswell as to ask listeners to log onto dogslostuk as its so helpfull & i would just like to say to you all that have advised or commented that you have helped in a way that you wouldn't believe, you have kept my spirits up & given me hope thank you for that. xxxxx

- Hi Cutler's Mum, have you thought about putting a call through to local radio station Mix 96 and they would perhaps let listeners know that your dog is missing in local area. Somebody may have picked him up and people tend to keep an eye out once heard on radio (or at least I do). Tel Number for Mix 96 is 01296 393396. Hope this helps.

- carolinejayne Thanks for posting!
I just wondered if you had reported Cutler missing with your local and adjoining councils and dogwardens?
I have emailed over cutlers poster one of my local holding kennels (Highwycome / Aylesbury area) just incase he has been handed in there...it is important to make sure the council area Cutler went missing in has had a missing report made by yourselves as he isnt chipped could be put up for rehoming after the 7 day holding period.Last edited: 2012-03-19 19:51:34 by Shereen - 2012-03-19 16:59 ClaireC
- Hi Carolinejayne, I print off a poster as above and drove up to The Plough, Cadsden area and pinned to a telegraph pole. I did actually manage to see my friend who works at The Plough and made him aware. He was working Sunday but sadly nobody came in the pub to enquire about the Jack Russell they had spotted up there. I did manage to put a poster on one of the vans parked further up in Cadsden which are the Pet Pal walkers and hopefully they may even spot him. Have also mentioned the other "local" missing dogs ie Quigley and Teddy. Hope this helps.Last edited: 2012-03-19 17:00:09 by ClaireC

- Hi everyone just want to thank everyone for looking out for cutler. our home is not the same without him. our other dog which is cutlers puppy is pineing for him as well. my husband and i walked for 31/2 hour along where he was lost to see if he had got stuck down a hole or around a fence. we have visited all the surrounding houses and farms. We actually live in whelpley hill. we visited the rescue centres sunday but still nothing. as the area he was lost in was right beside the a41 i contacted every animal association, vets from one end of the a41 to the other. i called 76 vets within the area and have left my details, i hope that we can find cutler aswell as the other pets that are missing. once again thankyou all for your help xxxx

- Hi, whilst out looking for Teddy, Quigley and now Cutler I spoke to local walking club approx 30 people and made them aware of Cutler as they were doing a walk which would take them around the Cadsden, Risboro, Butlers Cross area. Not sure if anybody has done a poster or leaflet drop up by The Plough? If not and would like me to take up there I can on Wed. Please let me know by posting a response on this page.

- I have a friend who work at The Plough Cadsden and will contact him unfortunately not until Tue to see if he knows anything about this little un. Will keep an eye out for him though whilst on travels looking for Teddy, Quigley etc

- Elaine, there is a Haresfoot farm which is a long winding walk which leads to Whelpley Hill and Bovingdon. It is on the left just past Bricklegreen before you reach Ashley Green from Berkhamsted.
- 2012-03-18 22:45 Shereen
- It is possible though this could of been Cutler considering he has been missing since 9th March,so lets not rule the possible sighting out,10 miles (as the crow flies)is nothing for a dog to travel in 8 days!
- 2012-03-18 22:43 elaine
- Can anyone help by telling me where Harefoot walk is? Am a helper in Chesham/Ashley Green area but cannot find 'Harefoot walk'on map anywhere re postering and going out looking for Cutler. Thanks.
- 2012-03-18 21:25 ClaireC
- The Plough at Cadsden is a long way from Berko/Chesham area! More like this dog has "travelled" from the Travellers Site nearby!
- 2012-03-18 19:00 Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
- My husband and I drove right past the Plough this morning, but it would have been around 9am!! Didn't see anything though and I was actually looking out for Teddy and Quigley at the time x
- 2012-03-18 15:59 Ruth
- I've just tried to call the owner but no answer.
This morning while we were out looking for Quigley, we stopped a man walking to give him a flyer - he knew about Quigley and wanted to confirm that he was quite a big dog, as he had seen a Jack Russell type dog near the Plough in Cadsden earlier this morning (near Whiteleaf, Princes Risborough). He said it was definitely on it's own and was brown and white. It would have been around 10am. Unfortunately I'd not seen the alert about Cutler at that point.
It's a long shot but looking on the map it's less than 10 miles as the crow flies from Ashley Green.
We'll keep our eyes peeled as we are out every day in that area searching for Quigley.Last edited: 2012-03-18 16:12:43 by Ruth - 2012-03-18 09:44 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
