I finally got hold of Benji's owner, sadly Benji was knocked over and died.

Hi can someone please contact me asap as there is a dog in a pound close to Blackpool that fits the description of Benji. I am due to pull him but i think there might be a chance its the same dog. Thanks

The owner doesn't have any photo's of Benji - his owner could really do with some help looking for him, also help with contacting other places (rescues/vets) They did contact the Dog Warden so they are aware.

I have spoken to the owner of benji to try and get some more details, also to tell them about the possible match on AW site.
The owner is a bit deaf so finds it hard to hear you, also very upset! She doesn't have a photo of Benji and isn't to sure what he could be crossed with so it would be difficult to try and find a simular looking dog, she also doesn't have internet access.
I rang AW myself and asked about the possible match for Benji, they hadn't got much details but did a match and it says 9/10 that it could be him, this founds been taken to MDH. I have told his owner that i will call MDH myself first thing in the morning to try and find out if it could possibly be Benji and will phone the owner back.
She's been out searching for him since he went missing, asked neighbours but no ones seen him, the dog wardens are aware of him missing and have all his details. Benji slipped past his owner when she was out emptying her bin and didn't notice he had gone missing till she went back in. Hoping the found is Benji x
