Jamie is now in a lovely foster home where he will continue his rehab. A perfmanent home will be found for him as soon as he is back to full fitness

Very well thanks dewilliams - seems remarkably healthy. 60 ticks removed so Im guessing he feels a whole lot better now. Had 1st vacc and now resting and playing with his foster brother :)

Fantastic news! Poor chap deserves a lucky break and it would be great if Jamie was able to adopt him..... but might have to change his name as 2 Jamies in the house may be too much!! I've got some name suggestions...... :-) Well done everyone! Especially Jamie, Paula, Diane & Theresa xx

Little fella scared and very tired. 30 ticks at first count! Has been on golf course at least 8 weeks so amazing he survived. Quiet night tonight with one of our fosterers then scan for chip tomorrow. Too scared today. DW aware we have him. If not chipped we will snip, chip and find him a good home. Vets asap for full medical too. Currently called Jamie after his personal servant who has fed and looked out for him for the past few weeks xBig thanks to shoottheowner for trap assistance x

Pleased to report that PaulaK has caught this boy in a trap... he's fine, covered in ticks and is on his way to be scanned. Has an old leather collar on but no other ID. Hopefully we can report more on whether he has a chip later.

Really close again tonight, I dont think he will go in the trap but Im hoping I will gain his confidence. I think it will just take time. A resident up there tonight said he has been seeing this boy for 6 to 8 weeks! Slowly slowly and he does love sardines and schmackos so thats helping!

Thanks rachel, ive just seen dog and its not a whippet its bigger. Was trotting aling well. Think we know where he is bedding down. Have left food out and jamie has more to put out to keep him in area where he obviously feels safe. May need to find big humane trap

My Colleague has just got really close to the dog. I am afraid it is definately male so not Duchess. It seems to be a stray as it has ticks all over it.

If we so it today we will look for the white markings. Did duchess have a collar? It has a darkish one on. Will check if it is male or female if we can. Sorry the pic is just a guide not the actual dog.

Duchess has been sugeested to me Claire by someone else too. Im hoping to get a look at this whippet this evening and will of course shout if I think its a possibility. As yet nobody has been close enough to determine the sex

Is the dog a female? What colour collar does it have and does it have a white chest? If it is female can it be considered to be Duchess?

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
