The kennels are not totally to blame here - the dog came in via the dog warden, if a missing report had been made to the warden then the 2 would have been matched, lost poster in the area may have prompted a call from the finder, if the owners had visited the local pound kennels (as we advise) the dog would have been spotted - also this dog had a non uk microchip which had no details registered against it on the uk database - It is a very sad story - I am not sure if the owners have been in contact with the kennels to ask them to send on a letter to the new owners or not - it is a stark reminder that microchips should be checked for functionality but more importantly that if you move home you MUST UPDATE your information & ALWAYS visit the local stray kennels to check for yourself, also the dog was registered on site with us by owners with the wrong missing date - if this had been correct I would have personally checked the dog warden records for the correct day and spotted immediately,as I actually found the found record when looking for an other owner and this was when I had to go back and ask owners if the lost date they had registered was correct or not

Are we able to know which kennels rehomed the dog? I would certainly not support it in the future.

Surely she can be returned to her original owners, as she has been microchip? Please original owners, fight your corner to get your pet back. All xd.

Oh no....let's hope she gets returned to the real owners, surely she could only have been legally rehomed yesterday....shows the importance of keeping chip info up to date.x

Sadly she has I emailed kennels last night and got a reply early hours this morning - will move over to blue - not sure if anything can be done - have informed owners that she has been rehomed - chip had no info registered to it sadly

Aggg - seems that she was lost on Monday 19th so could be this dog - just have to hope that she has not been re-homed - have given owners no of kennels so they can call first thing

have had a message back from owners - PICKACHU is still missing - have advised that they need to flood area with posters and get advert in next weeks citizen which they have promised to do - so please poster and search if you are local

This little one was lost very close to Parks Trust land but we haven't seen her or heard about anyone finding her ... hopefully that means she has found her way home. I will let our guys and local police know. She was lost very close to a pond & the river. We will try to get some posters out on our noticeboards if she is still missing tomorrow. Fingers crossed she will be home by then.
