- So pleased to read this little one is home safe - I'm totally smitten by his picture. Wonderful people who picked him up off the tracks and made him safe.

- Oh that's brilliant news! I'm an inspector on the trams, a few of us + spare driver were on a empty vehicle near Collyhurst tunnel, the driver jumped down onto the tracks and picked Chester up. We were heading back to the depot and he just mooched about the empty tram getting lots of attention! He wagged his tail lots considering what he'd probably been through. So pleased it's a happy ending! I'll pass it on next time I see the driver. G xx

- Hi, I've put 19 posters up tonight. Here's a list of where:
Every gate into Asda
One poster at each of the two main trolley stands outside the store doors
Two outside the Holy Name school on Denmark Road.
One outside the Healthy Lifestyles/Sports complex on Denmark Road.
Each of the main gates into Whitworth Park.
I gave a poster to the security guard who was locking Whitworth Park and he said he would put it in their office for all the other lads to see. They seem to cover a lot of the parks in the central Manchester area.
One poster tied to a tree outside the Academy school on Moss Lane East.
I ran out of posters and my printer is running out of ink, but if you are postering later tonight you might want to consider putting a poster or two outside the Webster school and the medical centre on Monton Street, as well as plastering the science park. Make sure you put one by the Science Park Cafe as I think a lot of people use that. I wandered round the science park this afternoon and spoke to people but no-one had seen Chester :(
Other ideas I had were to put some on the University campus, by the Robert Darbyshire practice on Walmer Street in Rusholme, around Alexandra Park, maybe Platt Fields, outside Loreto college, Hulme Park, the doctor's surgery in Hulme, maybe Aldi in Old Trafford and is it North Trafford college? The problem is not knowing how far he has gone, I suppose.
If you have any posters left and you're not too tired you can push them through my door (I'll text you my address) and I can do Alexandra Park for you tomorrow morning - to cover every gate would need 8 posters, or I could put five up by the playground, waterfountain, and lake, which would cover most of the places people walk past in there.
Fingers crossed that someone has taken him in and sees the posters and gives you a call.Last edited: 2012-03-27 21:03:14 by smileyt - 2012-03-27 20:54 Gill
- Hi, just posted on the FB link, I'm pretty sure I saw chester yesterday, looked extremely like him. I work on the Mc/r trams and we picked a dog up on the tracks near Victoria station yesterday about 1;45 pm. It was running about scared and likely to be run over. We got him on the tram and calmed him down. One of the tram drivers was going to take him to the dogs home on his way home. I can describe the collar...hope it's him. Gill.

- That would be amazing, he's a sucker for other dogs so if he's there he will almost definitely come out to play when he smells others, thanks again everyone xx

- I haven't found him yet, but the postcode you gave is right by my house, I just searched for a while but its too dark to see properly, the science park is quite dense and difficult to search, I do hope that means he's stayed local, I will look again when it becomes light. Just to clarify, did he appear to be a small yorkshire terrier crossed with a fox crossed with a rat? thats usually the description people give, thanks for the tip.

- Hi I hope you've found Chester by now, if not I believe I may have seen him this morning about 07.30am on my way to work, he was walking along Pencroft Way and walked off onto the field at the side of the science park (M15 6SH), unfortunately by the time I'd been able to pullup in the car he'd disappeared again. Hope you've found/find him soon.
