HUGO IS HOME........ After a few questions in our local off licence we got the rest of the details about the man that had picked him up. We got his surname and his address. we then called the police who knew him well. They told us not to go round to his address or approach him as he is violent and extreemly volatile. The police then went round there themselves and retrieved Hugo and brought him straight back to us. I am a very happy bunny today and Hugo is very excited to be home. Thank you all so much for your support and help over the last few days. I have been blown away by the kindness of strangers.

I have more info. His name is Mark. He's in his late 40s, lives with his wife and mother, he has dark hair, he's aprox 6ft tall and goes in the shop 3 or 4 times a day for cans of lager. He either lives on the Grange or St Johns estates. The girl in the shop is gonna point out to him that it is an offense to keep a dog that is not yours and if he wont cooperate she's gonna call us when he's there so we can follow him home. And yes Dee, if necessary I like your leaflet drop idea but let's see if we can identify this man first.

ok suziq heres my idea not sure if everyone agrees but i think we need loads of poster to put through every door on the grange estate also adding that it is illegal to keep a lost dog without informing the dog warden and that a man had been seen with hugo off the estate i am new to the area so do not know where the grange estate is but if you could get me a rough postcode id gladly print some poster off and walk around with you to post them through every letter box

I have news. There was a sighting of Hugo on the day he went missing. A man picked him up in the road and took him into John Moores post office on Delamere Street and told the girl behind the counter that he had found him running around on the road. She then offered to take him home and call the dog warden but the man said he would do it himself. The next time he called in the shop the lady asked him if he had called the warden but he said that the dog had bit him so he had dropped it and left it. The biting story does not ring true as Hugo would not bite anyone. he would be quite happy in the arms of a stranger. There is now a poster in the shop window and the girl in the shop says she will question him again when he next comes in the shop. All she knows about him is that he lives on the Grange estate.

Shared with all my friends on Facebook, most are in the Crewe area but they have proved fantastic in the past and will pass the info on !! Hope Hugo gets found very soon xx

Hi Suziq like Dee says dont give up hope. Someone might have picked him up and doesnt realise they have to let authorities know which is the law, which is why you need lots and lots of posters up. I have put some posters up this morning and carol in K nine care dog groomers is swapping your poster for mine cus it has his photo on. Good luck keep us posted on here.x

Hi Suziq, I am a Veterinary Nurse working in CW5 so will keep an eye out for you. I will also phone the other local vets in Crewe & Nantwich to inform them.
Does Hugo have any distinguishing features?
Poster printed & will display in waiting room.
I hope Hugo returns home soon.

My word, how helpful and kind you all are and I see his picture is on the site at last. I'm really starting to lose hope now. I'm sure someone must have picked him up as he would approach anyone and everyone with his tail wagging. They must have just decided to keep him.

hi just gona give you a number of emergency vet you prob have it but this is where we got ben back from 01606 723202
were going out again for a walk so we will look again for hugo just wish they was a pic on here so we could put some posters up also my daughter goes to winsford academy so i have told her to look out for him too and ask her friends

He got out of our garden on Delamere Street yesterday. We didn't miss him for a while so when we did eventually realise and went out looking he was nowhere to be seen. I rather suspect that someone has picked him up. He's so happy and friendly he would go to anyone. I just hope he is being well cared for.My hope I suppose is that someone hands him in. I've notified all possible places he could get handed over to so if he is handed in I should be informed straight away. I can only hope I guess.XX
