Great news - I have just heard from the centre staff that Pepsi has been caught and is safe and well in her kennel with her siblings. Apparently she had been getting progressively closer to kennels all day, so our supervisor brought out one of Pepsi's siblings and lured her close enough to catch her. We'll give them all a few days to get over the excitment and then think about starting to look for new permanent homes for them. Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately when we came to put a trap out last night, we discovered we'd loaned all our traps elsewhere, so what was left out overnight was a crate with blankets and food. The good news is that she was in the crate when I got there this morning, but of course she shot off before we could get to her. At least this means she is staying on our site and close to her friends. We'll be getting a trap out this morning and then staying well away from the area for a few hours, hopefully she'll head back there as she clearly felt safe there last night. No need for anyone to go out searching now, we know where she is and I think we just need to stay clear and let her feel safe enough to come back and get in the trap later. We have busy roads close to us, so we don't want to push her in the wrong direction by searching the area. Will update when we have more news.

we haven't taken her friends out there yet as they are nervous too, but we may try today if we haven't got her in the trap. We put her blanket from the kennel in the trap last night and hope we've tempted her into it. I'm heading back to site now to see where we're up to and to get some posters printed if we've not caught her yet. Will update later.

Copied from Doglost Oxfordshire Facebook page

'From our search this evening she seems to be sticking to a route between our BX site on Shilton Road and the A40, thankfully not going as far as the road yet and she seems to be staying West of the Quarry. C...ertainly she runs if anyone tries to get close, so no point trying to catch her and anyone searching needs to start at A40 side and work back towards Shilton, so at least she won't be tempted to run back towards to main road.'
