Hi JC, I have also made enquiries re animalwardens.co.uk website to see if they have Monty, Cutler etc but they say they need owners to contact them directly as they get so many dogs in. Sorry, if you have already been on there. If not, its pretty good, no photos but colour descriptions of dogs, breed and postcode/rough guide to the area the dog may have been found in.
elaine
Have contacted Hazeldene farm and Tiles farm asking if they have seen Monty. Will try Widmore farm next. No contact details for Portobello farm or the old forge barn. All these along the Asheridge road and appear to be farms or farmhouses which lived in. Driving and looking round this area today and going to widmore wood to look.
Shereen
I think this is going to have to be the case of getting on Google Maps and looking what farms surround the area and going in person to them, talking to them handing out flyers...dogs can get stuck between bales...you really need to work quickly get farmers to check all locked sheds or disused buildings
jc
Still nothing at all :( Having had faith in spiritual guidance in the past, we have been guided that he is still alive, and maybe be found this week, but they are pointing us towards a barn/shed on a disused farm. Does anyone know of any such farms/areas in the Asheridge, Chartridge, Ballinger, Dundridge areas
Shereen
Any news at all about Monty?...Are there plenty of posters out so people are aware?
Shereen
Thanks Abbalish.x

jc
dear all, thank you for all your help. still no sign of monty. His friend came home monday night about 1030pm out of breath but not hungry or thirsty. we think they may have been taken and max had managed to escape. we have put posters up in chartridge, bellingdon, asheridge areas. we dont know where else to look now. have done hedgerows and local woods on horseback, no sign, not even the lead. julia

Mel
Shereen, they were heading away from home! Across the fields from their house I'm guessing it's about a mile from where they went missing.
Shereen
Did these two head towards home when they ran?

Hi we are going to be in the area today looking for our jackrussell cutler & we will certainly be looking for Monty. I will let you know asap if there is any news. Dont give up & think positive xxx
Mel
Shereen, as far as I'm aware Max came home late Sunday night, he had dried mud on his legs, we'd had no significant rain for 2 weeks before that and the area was dry. Max used to go out riding with the owner's daughter and granddaughters, so he knows the area well. The owner said that she walked across the fields from Bank Green, Bellingdon to the Blue Ball pub in Asheridge, "they ran up the hill towards the Blue Ball, I think they must have gone left." I presume she means that the dogs went left in the fields behind the Blue Ball pub.

The only other info I have is that when he went missing he was wearing a red collar.
jacks
i will keep a look out for him if people are searching at the weekend i an help
Shereen

Done.
Mel
Could admin please change his breed to Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, he is NOT a cross? Thank you.
Mel
KathA I agree he does. I'll email the owner and ask her for confirmation. There is some suggestion he may be near Dundridge Manor which is the Chartridge side of Chesham and only a couple of miles cross country from where he lives. He's on the Your Chesham group on Facebook so people do know that he's missing and there is apparently an ad in the Bucks Examiner which is on sale tomorrow.
Mel
I've just got back from a search of some bridleways/footpaths around where Monty went missing, with my Springer and didn't see anything. Dizzy certainly spent a lot of time in the hedges (as usual) but showed no particular interest in any one spot. I was intending to poster but unfortunately my printer died today. I'll try and work out what's wrong with it and put some out tomorrow.
KathA
Does anyone know what Monty is crossed with? He looks like a pure bred Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to me.
I hope there's news of this boy soon.
Have added him to our ckcsforums.
DogLostOwl
Rememebr to check not only hedgerows but fences and also all yards and enclosures, anywhere Monty might have got into.
Lisa
I have shared this on my facebook page so hopefully alot more people will be aware that he is missing and they will be able to keep a look out for him.
DogLostOwl
Go for it, Mel. An inquisitive springer is worth her weight in gold on a search party. And try giving her a sniff of something with Monty's scent on. She might even start tracking, you never know, and even if she doesn't she will remember the scent and is likely to be interested if she comes across some on search.
Mel
I've texted offering my help and also suggested they contact Chilterns Dog Rescue Society in case he's slipped his collar and been handed in.
Mel
I know the owner but more particularly her daughter. I'll contact her and offer to help with the search. My Springer is very good at working hedgerows/thickets and will alert if she finds something that doesn't flush.
Spindle
Owner goin to try and send photo later. Have suggested that Max could lead them to him or in very least need a group to search for him.
Mel
As I understand it this dog is deaf. I've been told that The Border Collie that he went missing with is home, so it's possible that Monty may be caught up by his lead somewhere.
