Than you Sue for your help. I am in Birmingham and travel to Banbury to 'Dogs for the Disabled' and have been into the centre of Banbury but that is as far as I know. It is difficult to catch a dog who is running and is scared and confused. You really need to be 1 step ahead of her, if you know she is on the way towards you/owners, we do suggest a BBQ(tray one) especially as she may be quite hungry now. We really need to work out her triangle and more sightings with times and places would be great.

Latest: Owners have been advised to get more posters up. It's a pretty daunting task as we are so spread out here. I believe there are reinforcements coming later to help owners. All the usual done, including the canal network and travelling boaters. She was seen late yesterday afternoon. I believe she is coming back round again and owners appraised of what to do if they see her. She may be fine, but as we all know she may also go shy on owners and leg it. Have suggested keeping lots of smelly foods with them too. Owners suggested camping but as I said, no point until we establish her whereabouts at this time. This is a very dog friendly area and rare to see anyone without a dog at the end of their arm. Because owners are out so much I have offered to update as much as possible. Doesn't seem to be many helpers in this vicinity unfortunately.

contraversial but if this bitch is actually in season, could the stud dog owner not get out there with there dog..? he MAY be able to sniff her out ...
Katherine 1981
contact local taxi firms, bus firms, radio stations and post offices ( tell the post men ) go in the local pups, and schools etc etc..! put the word out EVERYWHERE...! talk to the local farmers ( if any ) in the area, police as well..!

JUST INCASE the dog is picked up by someone not intent on handing it back..!!! make her ' to hot to handle ' ....

I will get intouch and see if she knows which direction

Rugby pawprints says Harley crossed the Banbury Road. If she thinks the dog is heading toward Rugby it's the opposite direction to Banbury. Banbury is 14 miles form Southam and 20-25 minute drive. Rugby same, going more north. As road to Banbury heads south for the most part, I am guessing the dog went either east or west. So if Pawprints peeps look in could they confirm maybe? Also what time roughly and was it today? Thanks

All I know is that she was last seen running down the Banbury Road out of Southam. I have googled and as owner said the M40 was close by and the railway that she was running into Banbury itself.

Have put Harley on twitter + will circulate.

One assumes this dog is therefore in season? In addition, it would be helpful to know what part of Banbury Road and if she was heading east or west from Southam? I am east of Southam town on the canal and she may head this direction across fields. Most of the fields are full of young lambs and cattle, owner should be made aware of outcome if she does venture.

Spoke to owner, she had taken her to be mated and she left her at 1.00pm yesterday and she ran off at 3.15pm. I have given the owner the number for Railtrack and The Highways Agency as there is the M40 close by and also a railway line.
