Not a day goes by where I dont think of you :'(. Its nearly a year and all I want is you back! Mia still remembers you and was asking about you yesterday I had to tell her again you were in doggy heaven. I still have your picture up and your ornament on show. I cant bring myself to get rid of your bed though! Daddy gave your coat to his mum which upset me :'( its hard for me to let go! I miss you and im sorry I let you down. You would of loved Louie he is a male frenchie we have now couldnt bring myself to get another girl just yet. I do miss you and will be thinking of you on 13/14th April. We have changed our wedding date so its not the same as your anniversary of death! Love you izzy and will never forget you x x x x x x x x x x RIP

Mel, that is so lovely. Izzy will love that and will be so proud she has a mummy like you. When they get to Heaven, they understand everything and I am sure she knows what's in that sweet letter. She knew how much you loved her on earth and she knows how much you love her still, and, always will. God bless. x

I called up police the next morning and asked if there had been any accidents and they said no if only they had said yes I could of grieved earlier....anyway I have now accepted what's happened and trying to remember all the good times. I have wrote her a letter and doing a keepsake box for her to keep all memories alive. Thanks for all your kind messages and izzy will never be forgotten. Love you baby girl sweet dreams x

What is the point of withholding information like this and letting an owner undergo the ordeal of having to search for their dog for all this time. Disgraceful behaviour, hang your heads in shame....

Mel I'm so sorry, sleep tight sweet Izzy XX

With much sadness I have moved little Izzy back over to reunited as her owner Mel has been given confirmation that Izzy was involved in a fatal RTA at around 1.30 am on Saturday 14th April not far from home. I feel so much for Mel her owner as she has had such a fight on her hands to get this information from the police and council which has just added to her distress. Mel I am so sorry your little Izzy didn't make it home and please don't blame yourself xx Rest in peace sweet Izzy and play with all your new doggie friends in rainbow bridge xxx
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
I have moved Izzy back to missing status as the council has no record of a dog being Involved in a fatal RTA !!
Her owner was informed that a police officer had spoken to someone who gave him/ her the information that a dog matching Izzy's description had been involved in an RTA near to her home.
We now are unsure if this is true or not or even if it WAS Izzy !!
Her owners have seen reports on Facebook of a Shih tsu that went missing in the same area and around the same time as Izzy and she is trying to get in contact with this dogs owners to find out if it was their dog that was involved in an RTA of some kind. This is just so awful for her owner Mel and she is left not knowing if Izzy is alive or not !
melfozzy
Council said they have no record of a dog been picked up off the street. So looks like izzy may still be out there.....can't believe how they are messing with my emotions. Thanks for all the kind messages but hopefully she is alive
Meru

A dog was found matching izzys description last Saturday a day after she went missing 100 yards away from my house on the main road been hit and the driver has run. We are sure its izzy and council said so they just need to check her chip on Monday. I think its heartless they didn't check or look on the missing list. She was dearly loved and will never be forgotten you were one of my babies and sorry that I failed you :-( R.I.P IZZY X

We located the house but the dog wasn't izzy it was a Boston terrier so the search is still on.

Melfozzy I have left a message on your mobile voicemail urging that in view of this sighting of a dog like Izzy with the two women you try to get an advert in your local paper ASAP of you have not already done so. I would think it's too late to get a story in this weeks edition but you should still be able to get an advert in. Izzy is your pet and MICROCHIPPED to you and anyone finding her should have reported this to the dog warden which is required BY LAW !

Local people need to each print off a poster and flood the area where the recent possible sighting is with posters.

Checked animal wardens unfortunately wasn't izzy. No luck with police or cctv grit the possible sighting they couldn't see anything on it so no luck. Done more posters and trying to spread the word of my Facebook page izzy French bulldog to build up knowledge of her and there is more pictures for people if they wish to see more how she looks. Thank you so much for your efforts.

Hi izzy gets walked along the canal and playing fields normally. She does seem to know her way home so may have got lost around fields canal way. I have postered, fliers, phoned vets, micro chip been informed by message as not open till monday. Tried all dog wardens and kennels no sign of her. It seems more likely she has been stolen so keeping an eye on all selling sites and spreading over Facebook. I have done a page you can like called izzy French bulldog stolen/lost please help
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Thanks Yettontop ! I have been speaking with Izz'y's owners and I now have more precise information which I have added to her page and also tweaked the poster so that it has too. Her owners are printing posters up now and hopefully we will get some news of Izzy via the posters.Last edited: 2012-04-14 13:25:49 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire

Which part of Leeds Road are we talking about? The town end near the retail parks and the Galpharm Stadium and the canal and railway line, or the Dalton Bank end and the woodland, or the playing fields and Zeneca between? It's a long narrow area and it would help to focus the search with a bit more information, especially as this is a small dog.

Have managed to contact the owners. The landline number is correct but it is for a relative who was unaware that Izzy is missing. Have advised the owners that they let the relative know ASAP. Have also advised they contact Petlog, and local Stray kennels and POSTER like mad !!! Hopefully Izzy has been taken in by someone who will report this to the dog wardens as they are required to do BY LAW. Hoping to see Izzy back home very soon xx
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Just trying to contact izzy's owners. It seems the landline number we have is incorrect so will try the mobile number now.
