- Suzy, Can I tempt you to join me for a celebratory coffee and cake in Pezzetino's coffee shop in Stoke on Tuesday at 2pm? I would like to thank you in person for all your efforts and then I can give you all the details. It would be lovely to meet you. Knowing that there was someone who was ACTIVELY helping to look was such a comfort.Ido hope you can come....Ellenor

- Many thanks to you all for your posts and support. It is obvious that you all appreciate the depth of our anxiety and the eventual relief...I sobbed uncontrolably in Tesco's carpark when my partner phoned with the news; he had to remain at home to man the phone if I went out anywhere, so when I was out searching, he was under house arrest effectively!
My deepest thanks are obviously for Suzyb who has spent so much time, out searching, printing posters and giving me words of advice and encouragement. These occasions really show that there are a lot of decent, kind people willing to go the extra mile; it balances out a lot of the negative side of life. Thanks again. - 2012-04-21 19:06 Jackie

- Hi Suzy,Had a phonecall this evening and a chap said that last night, he had definitely seen a little white dog near Acre Place when he was out with his dog, another man was on the other side of the road with two springers, near the Exmouth road end. When the little dog saw them all it took off into the park. This was at 8.45pm, Wedmesday night. 3 of us went down there again this evening and walked and waited around until 10pm ish. We'll try again in the morning.
- 2012-04-19 19:37 suzyb

- Hello Suzy, No, no collar and sadly no sightings since the ferry one. We all keep going out in different areas, but no joy as yet. We're handing out flyers as we go.I was working today buy I'll go out after dinner. Fingers crossed! Thanks again for all you are doing, it's such a comfort to know that we're not totally alone. Bless you.

- 'morning ellenor. have you made any more progress or heard anymore news of Poppy? i took a stroll down that little park which runs towards the torpoint ferry, down from marlborough street. i looked all around that park to no avail. she has nowhere to hide there as they have cut all trees and bushes down now! but they have a lane with industrial buildings running alongside it. it was too late when i got there but think worth a stroll when they are working to inform them of poppy. saw posters in devonport park. i still cannot print them off as the new poster does not come up on this computer even put google chrome on as advised , but didn't work. i have broadband. but can see it on my mobile. please keep positive you will find her. if you have not, perhaps it would be worthwhile printing some little flyers and distributing them down where she was lost on this saturday and sunday, at the car boot which will be held there this weekend and every weekend. went out at 6 this am to look whilst it was quiet. i think my dog thinks his name is poppy now! he always comes when i call it! please keep me informed of any progress.did she have a collar on?

- Nice chatting with you Ellenor. You seem to have most things covered regarding and are all doing a fantastic job so far. Do think about leaving something in the area of where she has been sighted, something that smells of home in case she is returning to the same place, this will help her feel safe and encourage her to stay nearby. Hopefully the posters will bring further sightings, they are still the most effective way help bring Poppy home. Keep positive.

- Good morning Suzy, After the Granby sighting she was then seen on the grassy area on the other side of the road from the park which leads down to the ferry, but again no luck.Late last night my daughter and her husband went to the park and eventually just sat down for a while, but no joy again.I'm just about to go out when my phone charges. I'll try the park, Granby flats cross into the Marlborough St area and circle round to the new estate. This is the route I took yesterday, but I'll start on Mt wise later. There is a second photo now, does it show up I'll do as you suggest though. Thank you so much.

- hello, it's like a two way conversation on here ellenor, where is everyone when you need them! the weather is lousy. hope she is ok . went out this morning looking on dog walk. around the school near me etc. no sign, she is probably sheltering from the rain. could you ask admin to zoom in on your poster so you can see poppy more. then it would cut your grandson out as he probably would prefer it too! then i can print some off and get them laminated for you. well let me know if there is anything else i can do. today hopefully is the day she gets found.

- Hello Everyone, we had a call about 11.30am saying that a dog which sounds like her was spotted around the flats behind the Salvation Army Hostel in Devonport. My daughter and I went there but no sign of her. It sounds reasonable to assume that it is her, but she could head off to the park (I've given the gardeners, Alex and Mark our phone numbers) My daughter's number is 07788710266 (It is her dog) and she will be out looking after work. At least she is alive. Suzy, only Tanya below has offered help, but the family have been out each day and evening. we've given out individual chits with our numbers on to everyone we've met who had a dog and many who haven't. How is this little dog becoming so invisible??
- 2012-04-17 08:10 suzyb
- have walked all around stoke with dog, early this morning. stoke damerel etc. asked bin men to keep an eye out. will drive around in abit along st.levans rd etc. are there any more helpers in plymouth?
- 2012-04-16 20:12 Ellenor
- We've postered St Levans, Keyham Station and the park near there finishing off with a drive around pubs giving out posters, then 'stopping and calling' around the Stoke Damerel area where she was found before. Everywhere we've been we gave out the phone numbers and asked teenagers especially, to network the numbers on their phones. We just need a reliable sighting. It's been so heartening to meet so many kind people who know what we are going through.
- 2012-04-16 19:15 suzyb
- i was so hoping she was reunited by now. hopefully my ink will get here by tomorrow. so i can poster everywhere. will try and drive that area after dark. everyone i see whilst walking my dog i have told. poor little poppy. hope you are found soon. i have looked on other sites as well. wish i could private message you, but can't now they have renewed this site.
- 2012-04-16 16:45 Ellenor
- We've just had a text message which said that the lady thought that she saw the dog in the St Levens road park, yesterday at lunchtime. Unfortunately she was scared off by a man opening the gate. She could move off from there but we will check around there anyway.

- Thanks Suzy, I've followed your advice and contacted Radio Devon, I've told all the vets in the area, but again I'll do as you suggest and put posters there too. Warden, Gables all done, I just need to wait until Woodlands is open at 11. Then later I'll try the paper. She could be anywhere in Devonport, Stoke, or Ford, so until we get a single sighting, we won't know where to target really. My thanks to you and Tanya.
- 2012-04-16 07:21 suzyb
- forgot to say i put it on facebook and the gables page as well.
- 2012-04-16 07:20 suzyb
- tell them you want to place ad in pet section. then say lost pets. see lost pets in there all the time. i think it depends on who you speak to!!!! also ellenor ring radio devon as they are really good at announcements for missing pets. also if you can poster vets in area she went missing plus the vet hospital at estover as it's 24 hour emergency vet for plymouth. taking grandchildren out all day but will get back to you as soon as. good luck.not forgetting woodside too.
- 2012-04-15 18:57 Ellenor

- Can you think of any way to get the info into the Evening Herald? I tried the last time and they said that they don't do missing dogs etc. I'm sure I've seen 'missing' ads?
- 2012-04-15 15:41 suzyb
- i live in garfield terrace, opposite the railway line- i can see it from my window- and just up from devonport station so have been keeping my eyes out for her. am going out in a moment with my dog so will look all around. just hope you find her soon. have you informed gables etc. i will write on their facebook page if you like and obviously dog wardens can't be contacted weekends as dogs are not meant to be lost then.lol!
- 2012-04-15 14:30 janta
- Oh no, can't believe she's gone missing again! Anything I can do please let me know. Tanya

- Hello suzyb, There has been no phonecalls or contact from anyone outside the doglost staff. However, my daughter spoke to a young girl who said that she saw a dog on the railway line! So they are going to Devonport station after they Phone the Railway to alert them. They will probably go on to St Budeaux as well. It seems a very long way in a relatively short time for such a little dog. I'll put more posters out later, we've just finished putting up another batch to fill in the spaces. I've told the taxi companies and they, very kindly, said that they would tell their drivers to look out for her.
- 2012-04-15 12:47 suzyb
- any more news of her?
- 2012-04-15 10:01 suzyb

- went out with my dog early at 6am. went to stoke damerel community college and around the area no site nor sign of poppy, but did see a couple of posters. then just got back now from walking sisters dog. went to devonport park the entrance from devonport road. looked around , told a couple of folk walking their dogs about her. but saw no posters there at all. i can't print any off as awaiting an ink delivery. i met the owners looking for her when she went awol. the thunder at the time was really loud as well! so she was running scared. if i can do anything owners please let me know through this site ok. hope you find her asap.
