- Email UPDATE received from one very happy owner:
Hello everyone here is my story of our beautiful dog candy who been return to us.
On 19/04/2012 our beautiful candy escaped through cat flap, I remember that day very clear like it was yesterday it was a horrible day, raining and cold. We went looking for her everywhere but had no luck, the next day we made posters and hanged them around on our road on the same day I found lost dog Website and I registered all candys details, everyone been great very supportive. I also put her details on gum tree but I think it was bad idea as I have received multiple of prank calls which upset me even more. Time was going pass and nothing, no sign of her like she disappeared and never existed! We been soo hurt and lost, felt angry at ourselves!
Some time gone past we moved on we got a cat and even had a baby so our family was growing three children and a cat now.
On 28/08/2013 I received a phone call on my mobile From lady name Rebecca she said she was calling from Brent animal welfare, she asked me if my dog was still missing and how long ago was that, I answered all her questions, then she tells me candy been found my first reaction was to cry then I asked her few times this isn't a joke she reassured me it wasn't, then she said she be on her way to us and she will be with us in 30 minutes. I had too reassure myself and I called microchip company to double check and they have confirmed that she has been found, I was over the moon and I just couldn't believe my luck! That 30 mins felt like a life time I couldn't wait to see candy and what she looked like. Then she came I run outside still in my pyjamas and bare foot, Rebecca opened the back door of the car and I saw her my heart dropped from happiness, candy recognise me straight away, she was very happy. Me and Rebecca took her to my home she was running up the strairs like she never was gone even Rebecca said you can see she belongs here! My kids were soo happy to see her! We couldn't get enought of her! I have too say she didn't look too bad maybe just the fur wasn't cut properly and her nails were too long! Rebecca left she felt herself that candy belongs here and she knows she be safe. Since candy was missing I threw away all her collar, lead and her dog food, so my partner got ready and went to pets at home to buy all new stuff, he came bag with a big bag with food, dog shampoo, collar, lead and harness (pink). First thing we did is bathed her, she seemed relaxed and happy, after we feed her. Later that day we all took her for a walk the whole family, candy was happy running up and down.
On the same day I called my vets made an appointment for her Injection boost and to get stuff for fleas, warns etc. When we visited the vet she said her weight was good 4.1 kg, she did the injection and gave me the medicine for fleas etc.
since then we took candy too dog grooming for wash, cut, trim and the whole pampering. She looks amazing now all pampered!
Candy settled in amazingly like she was never gone. She never leaves my sight always follows and sleeps by my feet. One thing I noticed is when we are out and she see a man she barks and growls at them like she is afraid she be taken away again which made me think she must of been taken by a man.
From all this experience I learned never give up your hope and microchip your pet! If it wasn't for microchip she would never been returned to us! Yes it's been one year and 3 months which is a long time but candy hasn't forgotten us neither we!
Thank you to Brent animal welfare to Rebecca - 2013-09-02 00:07 digbysmum

- TOTALLY AMAZING. We have been getting really great REUNITED's and this is why we are all here.
I've grouped her before and after photo/s so we can see the difference. This goes to show never give up and please please MICROCHIP your dogs. It is money well spent. If we had a penny for the amount of people who say 'My dog never leaves my side' we would be worth a fortune. LOL
THANK YOU to everyone who helped get her home and the person who made that most important call.
WELCOME HOME CANDY sending you lots of hugs and cuddles. xxx - 2013-08-31 23:12 sallybee

- I haven't had a response to my email, could of been someone messing around or someone foreign as it was so basic. If anyone is in/can get to the wembley area it could be worth putting posters up by supermarkets etc there in case this advert is about her x zLast edited: 2012-04-28 08:09:11 by emmalouise

- Yes I saw the advert too on gumtree. http://www.gumtree.com/p/pets/i-found-puppy/101160008 Like you say emmalouise it just says I found puppy Wembley no phone number but I have emailed and asked them to take a photo and add to the Found section and also to inform the dog warden. I thought of Candy too. Let's hope they reply to the email and or inform the dog warden.

- Has anyone seen the ad on gumtree saying found puppy wembly?
i'd give more info but that is literally what it says (lol)
was looking on here for a possible match, candy's so small she could probably be mistaken for a puppy and then i thought the ad said wimbledon and was too far away checked and it's wembly, which i don't think is far from you?...i'm not good with london so apologises if not! x - 2012-04-24 13:42 kirstie72
