- Out last night for 2 hours spoke to a couple of people, not many out as it was raining, they said they would keep an eye out and tell friends to. Put up some posters also, checked this morning they are still there! Covered the whole of the park, including back of industrial estate and up to Howley, the edge of the mersey where the fishermen sit, track that leads off the wobbly bridge to Kingsway South. Looked in all the bushes i could get in! Also i walk in Grappenhall at 5.30am every morning just in case he has gone futher field. Will place posters up there tonight. Might be a good idea to find out were the Fair has moved to - possibly Orford - lad told me his dog went missing on saturday and found him amongst the fair rides! Just in case they have picked him up. Bus stops and Late shop also got posters along Knutsford Road. xx

- I had a call at 8.50am this morning from a gentleman that spotted Russell on his way to Irlam - he was running along the main road into Irlam where you have the Manchester Ship Canal on the right side and a new housing estate on the left - he was on the left side - this road goes into the Northbank Industrial Estate
I am just on my way over there now to have a look and have reported it to Salford Dog Warden - 2012-05-09 18:01 Jayne - Founder Doglost.

- Shelly you are doing a great job, keep going. Get as many posters in the area as you can. If the sightings start coming in we can build up a picture of Russells movements, look for a pattern and his territory.
clurbur thanks for the suggestion but its a little early for a trap. This will only work if we have a clear idea of Russells movements, start putting food down in the area to keep him there and slowly build his confidence. The trap would also have to be monitored 24 hours a day, great for rural areas but not really a shopping area. Nieve the dog in WN2 has made her area over a long period of time and this is why it worked, she felt safe there. Hopefully Russell will be home but if it gets to a position that a trap will be useful we can sort it out.
Shelly, start making a note of any sightings on a map, times and dates. If posters bring in more sightings we can take it from there. Have a look at the scenting and plotting instructions I sent you, this will explain it in more detail.
Keep positive Shelly, you are doing great :) - 2012-05-06 22:07 Shelly
- I have been searching today with treats and left my number with most business's in case he is looking for food - and will be there again tomorrow - I will also look at Victoria Park - all your comments are really helping me keep positive and I am sure we will have him back soon!! - Has anyone got access to a trap that can be set in the area he was last seen? This worked for a little dog in WN4 missing for 5 months!

- Yesterday we were in town on Riverside Retail Park with our dogs when this very very similar dog ran out in front of car, we swerved so not to hit him and I went on foot after him. We lost sighting of him around McDonalds in town at the retail park, we searched around the area and towards the back of the retail park. Im sure it was this dog, I noticed it was a male and had like a red leather or plastic leather collar on.. I was within a couple of feet of him and he bolted, we spent as much time as we could searching for him but he had gone, he looked as though he was going round the industrial estate at the back and we spent time round their, while my hubby was trying to move one of my dogs out of their crate in case we could catch him.. We did ring the dog warden and pass the info on and they said they would send the warden round.. We had to leave after about 15 mins of searching as sadly one of my dogs has cancer and was in vets having a big op and we had to go their x good luck with any more sightings x

- Shelly you are doing a great job and so good to hear that the staff at Cheshire Dogs Home have been helping in the search. Like we said get posters further afield, in local vets, schools, shops etc and you will hopefully get the sightings coming in. I will send you the email with lots of information. I think Cheshire are quite possibly right in the fact that he is very nervous and won't have gone far, maybe hiding away. Try taking some smelly food out with you on a walk as its going dark.
Keep positive, he is somewhere and I'm sure all he needs is a little encouragement to come out of his hiding place. - 2012-05-01 16:43 Shelly
- Just in case people try to approach him he is a very nervous dog and is extremely scared so possibly hiding somewhere - I only picked him up from Cheshire Dogs Home yesterday - ever so worried and would appreciate any help finding him as he does not know the area
Many Thanks! - 2012-04-30 19:29 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
