- Oh bless sweet Buster and his family. This is not the first time this has happened to a dog recently reunited back home. I suspect when they get back home, they are so relieved and surrounded by so much love, they know their journey on earth is complete. This lovely boy had obviously earnt his wings. So very sad for owners having been so distraught, then so elated and now to hit rock bottom. But, as has been said, sweet Buster made it home and only within that precious love of his family could he answer God's call. You will all be back there, together, eventually. Until then, he is watching over you. God bless. x

- So sorry to see this. My sympathy and prayers are with Buster`s family, but at least he was with his family at the end. God wanted him for an Angel. When Buster crosses Rainbow Bridge he will regain his, sight and his hearing, and become like a young pup again, giving the other dogs a "Run for their money" Buster will be there to meet his family when the time comes, never to be parted. Night, night precious, sleep tight: look over those who cared and loved you. RIP Buster+++ Sending your owners loads of hugs amd healing prayers for their grief. God Bless.

- The chip was faulty apparently, was reading in a foreign language?? It's been through the kennels informing people and people matching his pic and contacting us, truly amazing as we would never have thought to look in Sunderland! The owner is at work so hasn't even seen him yet but the dad went straight through and got him. She will be reunited in 20 mins and no doubt cry her eyes out again! Lol so so thankful to everyone xxx
- 2012-05-05 17:16 hello janey

- Hi Lisa, I know how you feel, I lost a sheltie in 2008 , princess has never been found and it's heartbreaking. Where exactly did Buster go missing, al take our Molly out and look. Also this sounds a bit mad, but has worked in the past, put some of your 'scent' around the area. Also maybe old clothes with your scent on. A few years back someone put a t shirt out went back the next day and the dog was lying on it. Anything is worth a try hunny I wish you all the luck in the world xoxoxo
- 2012-05-04 18:57 hello janey
- I hate saying this but are you calling the council cleansing too every few days? I know from experience they just log anything knocked down as dog or cat,,dont bother checking for chips, they just write that in a log book ;-( its better to know this than never know at all,,sure someone must have taken this old gent in,,,

- Lisa, sorry did not make it earlier. Not long been in from a late walk around Ouseborough Woods with my Hubby and our dog Maddie. Saw no dogs or anyone on a walk. I am busy tomorrow morning but should be able to get some more posters up around Beamish and Ouston areas tomorrow afternoon. Lets hope we get a sighting very soon so we can get this boy found and home safe x Jill will text you if going out one evening x
- 2012-05-01 21:16 lisa090906

- I've put posters up, Pelton, perkinsville, pelaw, drum industrial and beamish, spoke to lots of dog walkers but nothing still. At least getting the word out to those not on Internet/Facebook may bring at least sightings! Fingers crosses this old boy is home soon! X
- 2012-05-01 18:11 BBKM
- Spoke to Busters owner. Going to try and meet up later with her. I have put a few posters up around Bobby Shaftoe Caravan Park area. Give one to Beamish Arms and Shepherd & Shepherdess public houses to display, also to a Garage and allotments at High Handen Hold. Also handed some flyers out to dog walkers up there. Put my last Poster up on Urpeth Lane. Will try and print a few more off. Come on Buster be seen so we can get you home x
- 2012-05-01 17:59 Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
- I spoke to Busters owner this morning but the post I made afterwards has vanished or had not added for some reason.
Many thanks Bazil, emmalouise , hellojaney and coral ! Lisa090906 is not sure if the sighting in Conyers Road, South Pelaw could have been Buster as the police bought a staffie found in the same area last night to her thinking it must be Buster and it's thought the sightings may have been of this dog. Such a shame the found dog wasn't Buster but comforting to know the police are aware and looking out for him.
Bazil if you can help with any posters I am sure Busters owners would be most grateful and they really do need as much help as they can get to find this senior boy.. I have suggested that they try contacing the Northern Echo who have been very helpful in the past with missing dogs. Hoping we get some news of him very soon xxxLast edited: 2012-05-01 18:02:07 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire - 2012-05-01 15:23 BBKM
- I have done a flyer for him if you want me to email to you, got 2 per page, you could print these off and post through doors. I can print some off but my ink is getting low so don't know how many I will get done. Also can I ask how far he has travelled to Conyers Road from where he went missing. Is he still on the estate where he lives? OH ALSO is his microchip address up to date, or still to your Mam's house, just incase the Dog Warden or a vet has him.Last edited: 2012-05-01 15:36:18 by BBKM

- Is there anywhere nearby your mum took him a lot? maybe a park, did he live at another house with her?
even though they have no sense of time dogs remember a lot, they often go somewhere familiar or somewhere they used to live, he might do this especially if he's missing his mum x - 2012-05-01 15:13 hello janey
- I think at his age Buster wont have travelled far at all,,and will be wandering close to home,,maybe someone felt sorry for him and took him in,,posters are the most important thing you need right now,,locals shops etc,,bust stops are good too, he will be disorientated and may be just laying low somewhere,,def check all local walks,,bridleways etc,,hope he is safe and home soon ;-)

And any thing else you think I could be doing please let me know.
- 2012-05-01 14:47 BBKM
- Hi sorry to see Buster is missing. How did he go missing please. I live in Birtley not too far away. If you need help searching let me know. Get your posters up asap, I can print some off and put them up. Check all unused/used Barns, Sheds, Stables etc in the area. He may go near allottments and graveyards if any in the area, somewhere peaceful, quiet. Lost dogs tend to move around dusk and dawn (hence sighting this morning)and usually in a triangle formation. Pin point his sightings on a map putting his 1st point from where he was lost. He could be sleeping in someones garden if he is in a residential area. Good luck, will keep checking here.
