Thank you very much again for all your help, Riley is doing well, a little touch of kennel cough though that will pass soon, she seems glad to be home and shes been getting spoiled rotten the past two days

thank you everyone for your support and advice. Riley went missing on the 1st and wasnt handed in to the dog warden until the 13th so in that time i am assuming that someone took her in and either due to her deafness and temperament or more likely due to the mass of posters that i put up so was handed in, even though garth kennels have had my number and her description since the 1st it wasnt until someone there checked this site that they put 2 and 2 together, i dont blame them for the delay she doesnt look much like the chubby little puppy that she was just a month ago

Yay! Just spoke to Paul College Garth Kennels rang him at 3 pm after checking her DogLost page. He will post more info later but it does seem that someone had taken her just after she went missing, decided they didn't want her and handed her in. Paul says thank you to DogLost. I know it is hard but try to keep positive Paul. I strongly suspect someone must have her. Continue to make her too hot to handle. These youths on the mopeds - do you know them? Have you seen them again? Could they have taken her or saw someone about at that time?
Our co ordinators liaise with each other so if there is a possible match out of the area I will be notified and I will continue to keep eyes and ears open myself

sorry for the lack of updates, i was between laptops, anyway there has been no sightings or info at all since she went missing almost a month ago, i know there are a few stories on here about people and pets being reunited after much longer spaces of time than this, though honestly i am not holding my breath, i would like to thank ellie and doglost as well as petbureau.co.uk, you have offered so much support, help and advice

I received a call from the RSPCA this morning, responding to a voicemail I left, the dog Blizzard was brought in a few days before Riley went missing but thank you to Dan and family for giving me a call, i have sent East Midlands Dog Rescue an email and i will follow up with a phone call tomorrow morning

Please note that the RSPCA very rarely take in strays nowadays.Their priorities are finding homes for dogs which have served their time in rescue kennels and can be from any part of the country, not just local dogs College Garth kennels in Hathern take stray dogs within the City boundary. Advise Paul to check this dog out though, leave no stone unturned. There is also a female white staffie at East Midlands Dog Rescue, age doesn't tally but again worth a phone call As Paul is receiving calls the good news is that posters are being seen and noticed.

We had the same problem some years ago when we lost our old dog we went to RSPCA and also left a photo, it wasn't until a day or so later we called and one of the staff mentioned about the hospital part, we had a look and there he was and he was supposed to have been PTS the day before but one of the staff thought he looked well cared for so she gave him a bit longer, so unless they have changed their routine whatever rescue place you go to it is always best to ask if they have any other units, good luck and I hope Riley is back safe home soon.

julia emailled me back, it isnt riley

however i just recieved a call from a family that went to the rspca on scudamore road today and there is a dog there exactly matching rileys description, white young, deaf female staffy, so i will check that out and let you know, i will be so happy yet pissed off if it turns out to be riley as ive rang the rspca three times and they have refused to check the dogs in their care as strays are sent to garth kennels, the staffy at scudamore road rspca was brought in thursday morning, the day after riley went missing

Have advised Paul further as to what to put on posters and have updated poster to say there is a reward. As many posters as possible plus fliers through doors if any of our volunteers in that area could help it would be appreciated

i will jenny thank you, ive put a load of posters up on wednesday but with the horrible weather im gonna stick a load more up and ill get the schools as well, do you guys think i should mention that i believe shes been stolen even though im not 100% about this, but with her friendly and loving tempremant she would have approached everyone she saw, ive seen her run about 200 metres to go and get stroked from a stranger before, as such someone must of picked her up mot likely the morning after it happened, but shes not at garth kennels or in been in any vets

Spoken to owner. Riley went missing last night out on a walk when she was frightened by youths on mopeds. She is about 7 months old. Wearing black collar Have advised to poster the area heavily, they have rang DW. Am emailing advice sheets and contact numbers. Stay safe until you are found Riley.
