- And all the help is greatly appreciated - I'm feeling kind of useless since I'm limited in how much I can do with the baby - but my husband's been out since this all happened at about 6.15pm and only just walked through the door now resembling a drowned rat

- Will be ringing Babbington in the morning - dog warden said not to bother tonight as they would be closed by the time I was doing the ring-arounds.

- Have posted on facebook in the hope that someone local can lend a hand with the search. Come on Nancy, where are you, your mum and dad have enough on their plate at the moment to worry about.

- Adding in that she's fairly badly scarred from a life of past racing... she's got no fur on her backside or stomach, a horseshoe shaped bite(?) scar on one of her back thighs, and several other smaller scars, including one that she's recently licked raw (she does this fairly often) and is scabbed over on her right rear leg.

- Too far away to be of much help but if anyone can help out Nancy's owners have just had a prem baby so getting out and about to poster ect is difficult although they will do their best. Nancy legged it from the garden and slipped through the gate whilst shopping was being brought in so hoping she will return home safe and sound.

- We believe the path she took was off Brookhill Street, left down onto Toton Lane heading toward Stapleford town, and then people we've asked vary in what they say - someone saw her running down Toton Lane, yet someone else says they saw her running into the Queen Elizabeth(?) Park next to Fairfield Primary School... the latter statement would fit because it's a regular walk she takes.
She's not good with small white fluffy dogs so is usually walked on-lead and muzzled as well.
Broxtowe dog wardens have been notified, local police have been notified in case anyone rings in with a dog on roads or whatever call, local vets have been notified... can't call our local rescue with the pound contract until the morning as they're now closed, neighbouring area dog wardens are closed till the morning when I'll be ringing them too. - 2012-05-03 21:09 B30
