- This morning tv programme have posted this on their website....
This Friday we’re intending to feature an item on missing pets. So if you’ve lost a pet, or think you’ve had one stolen, let us know and we might be able to feature them in our missing pets gallery. Email thismorning@itv.com with some good shots of your missing pet and a few details that might help: when you last saw your pet, any distinguishing marks, habits or characteristics. Maybe it was wearing a particular collar. We need your emails by 5.00pm Thursday the 10th May. http://www.itv.com/thismorning/life/reuniting-lost-pets-with-owners/ - 2012-05-08 20:51 Minigirl - Area Co-ordinator, West Yorkshire

- Ref the missing Spaniel from Bowed A66 the pound going South from there would be at Tunstall which is near Catterick North Yorks. Go to Hambleton Council then click on dog wardens/stray dogs for relevant tel numbers for this pound.

- It's probably worth notifying people in the opposite direction, Cumbria. She could well have gone bounding across Stainmore from Bowes and also the Pennine Way runs into Cumbria. Here are the contact details from Eden District Council's website (the nearest local authority west of Bowes. Hopefully, the wardens will spread the news as well as looking themselves.
If you have lost or found a dog, please ring the Council as we keep the official registers of lost and found dogs. Alternatively, you can tell us by completing the online stray dog report form.

Ref Springer Spaniel bitch missing from Bowes it is worth noting StrayAction at Deerness Kennels Co Durham and StrayAid Coxhoe Co Durham also there is a pound at Bedale North Yorkshire. It is always worth tel Waterfall kennels which although in Guisboro in East Cleveland it serves a huge area of Teesside. Middlesbro/Stockton/Billingham/Redcar.
The A66 runs right though the Pennines and crosses Scotch Corner/A1 and runs on into Darlington/Stockton/Middlesbro.
I am always concerned that a dog is picked up in one area and dropped at pounds elsewhere as you know has been known to happen.
Waterfall kennels for future ref should you not have it is 01287 634240. - 2012-05-06 17:49 Gypsy
- There is a fairly large community of travellers within this general area including Barnard Castle etc, so it might be an idea to target them. Try and get local people to display a poster in their car windows. Display them on popular footpaths and at visitor car parks - anything that will guide lizzie's finder back to you.
Really wish you lots of luck xx - 2012-05-06 12:59 Minigirl - Area Co-ordinator, West Yorkshire

- Just received a reply from Mo, Bowes is about 8 miles from Mo so not that far for a dog to travel, unfortunately Mo said Bowes is close to the busy A66 so lets hope Lizzie keeps well away from that road. Mo will spread the word xx
