Big Thanx ....I dont think councils understand the importance of a relationship of a child + their pet. Also as a mum of 4 grown up kids I remember times busy saving up for the next trip...or xmas...and getting a dog out of pounds would have been unreachable. Their smiles ay it all.
SH
What a wonderful photo, I am just happy to know that your lovely Storm is back where she belongs, give her a big hug from me..... Take care x

it is shocking how much these pounds charge for someone to get there beloved pet back. some people cannot afford big monies to get there beloved dog back, and its just so unfair that the dog and owner suffers as a result of this, either the dog gets pts or rehomed to someone else, when they already have a loving owner! its quite sad really!! maybe a petition or something sould be started!!!!Last edited: 2012-05-11 14:11:37 by Laura

Hey Jayne, i have just spoken to my local council about how to go about someone else paying and if the person is still willing to pay they can ring the council and pay over the phone as long as they have my name and address, the dogs name, a brief description of her, the type of dog and the date she went missing and they also given me her kennel number at wood green n sent an email over to the dog warden to say that i give my permission but they did stress that the latest time i could pick storm up is 3pm today as wood green dont release dogs after that time. Im sorry my mobile number wasnt working when u tried to contact me the other day but my number is working now. I am still shocked that someone is willing to pay for me to get Storm back and i will be forever grateful for doing this so again thank u so much from every part of me n my children x
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
I believe that something will be sorted today with Storm...will update when known.

have just spoken to wood green and the said as of today the price is £181.50 and u have to pay cambridge city council direct not them and that u may be able to pay over the phone to the council. I would just like to say thank u so much for offering to pay to get Storm back home with us< my 8 yr old has special needs and Storm is his dog and he misses her so much so again a great big thank u for offering and please contact me on my mobile number if u need any info
peachieboo
hey SH i am Storms owner and as of Tuesday this week the fee was £170 and was going up at £11.50 per day
SH
I spoke to Wood Green today to try and pay so this lovely girl could go home but Wood Green could not tell me how much was owing, they said it depends on which area she was found as different councils charge different rates. I only have the postcode on this page which was not enough for them to give me a cost.......I NEED MORE INFORMATION... If anyone can put on this page what the fee is I promise you I will pay it tomorrow
migman34
if the dog warden had been informed that the dog was missing before it was picked up plead with them it normally works and they could reduce the fee to cover the first 5 days for the cost of the first day cry if you have to. It worked when poppy went missing and was picked up ( fair enough i was at the kennels 2 hours after getting the call) but i had called the dog warden and pleaded and they agreed to keep her for the first 5 days for £50 always worth a try good luck x
Jackie
Shame the council can't come up with a repayment plan...don't understand when it's so easy to do .... hope Storm is home soon xx
SH
please can someone let me have the number for woodgreen as I am willing to help before the deadline
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Best ring number above...but have just done so its not recognised...or you could ring Woodgreen and ask for Helen...tx for your help.

I would like to help the owner get storm back asap, does anyone know how much the owner as left to find?
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Thanks Helen from Woodgreen animal sanctuary...if owner cannot afford the fees...what is your rehoming charge at end of the 7 days...bet its less than 170 pounds...and no homecheck needed....just an idea...I f this is out of order you can press the report button and post will go to moderation status...ie off the site.
Dog WardenHelen exWGAS
It is the council, not wood green who charge the fee. I think it is around £170 at the moment. Storm is doing ok.
Madmutz Dog Walking
Do we know how much is needed? Im local so would like to help, storm needs to be at home!

Happy to know Storm is safe anyway. As for the money can we help?
Auntie Katie
I'm moving Storm to reunited as we do know where she is. She is still at Wood Green at the moment as her owner is struggling to find the money to release her. She will keep me updated and I will update her page here. It is sad but at least we know she is safe and well looked after where she is. x
Auntie Katie
Just tried to call Storms owners to make sure they have her but there's no answer I hope that means they are on their way to get her. Wont move to blue until we know she is home! x
