Such great news to start the day, so pleased for all your family and yes would love to see a reunited photo; I just adore Cockers and Lucy is one of those special ones. How long was she wandering and when did the finders pick her up? Such a happy outcome and give her a big hug from me. M

That is so sad! How could the police be so irresponsibly unhelpful? I am praying all the time that someone took her in and is caring for her, and I am looking out for her wherever I go.
Michelle
Hi Ruthe, thanks for letting me know. The side gate to the garden was left open,by accident,my husband was gardening during the day and left it half closed, and Lucy wandered down to St Marys Care Home.they saw her,as she bounded up to the window to be let in.Im not sure if they got hold of her,but i do know they called the police and they said they couldnt do anything about it.they let her go,because its a care home with elderly people there and the police didnt help.after that,i dont know where lucy is,we have searched everywhere on foot and locally.my daughter has emailed her details to "This morning" as they do a pets lost slot on a fridayxxI really miss her dearly, everyday and everyplace in the house i see her bouncing around in circles..too be honest i cant really think of anything else, she is everything to me...and morexxLast edited: 2012-05-10 15:39:09 by Michelle

I was talking to the staff at Catton Vets about Lucy this afternoon, they mentioned that a dog had been stolen from Ivy Road in Spixworth and recovered by the police. Michelle, could Lucy have been taken from the garden and have the police been informed of her disappearance?

Lucy is featured in the on-line version of the newspaper tonight and the "evening news" paper tomorrow x
Regarding contacting various RSPCA centres I would contact them all individually and if possible get a poster to them too.

I have spoken to the owner and Lucy has wandered off from home when the back gate was left open, she was last seen near North Walsham/Crostwick Lane area. The Dog Warden and local vets have been notified and there are plenty of posters up in theare area. I have advised the owner to put flyers in all the houses in the area she was last seen in and also to put an advert in the local papers.
Hopefully Lucy will be home very soon xxx
