K9 Search - It may be a long shot but a border terrier and black cocker spaniel were picked up today at Stafford services on M6. Apsrt from Bailey, there is also a black cocker, sid, missing from the Dunstable area. (not a million miles away)Possible taken by travelers and dumped? worth checking anyway I thought. - 2012-05-23 10:44 B30

- We're going to be in that area today with our own dogs, so we'll give him a shout and keep our eyes peeled. Come on, Bailey! xx

- Hiya, was up there today around the back straight area, shouted and whistled for the little fella but sadly no sign. Will remember to keep an eye out for him, when up there again. Bless old Bailey, and his family.

- Thanks for the info, I know where you mean, I know the long straight where the pet graves are, very muddy up there!! I've never bothered taking the bit of track that takes you out towards the A5 fields, as we're always on a circular walk of the woods heading back to the car by that time. Will definitely give him a shout out when we're up in that area again, but it probably won't be until the weekend now. I'm not sure if this link will work, but if it does it may help others know where you mean: http://g.co/maps/nfdtr (You can't click the link, but copy and paste it into your internet browser address bar)Last edited: 2012-05-16 21:27:47 by snailmail

- Thanks snailmail. The woods that run along the path at the bottom of Rammamere Heath which is at the far end of the Xmas tree bit(before going through the kissing gate to Stockgrove; head towards the pet cemetary and beyond and they come out at fields that edge the A5 opposite the flying fox (there are Dexter cattle in the fields which are checked daily and he is used to going there). It is at that point that he went missing. He has made it home to Great Brckhill from near the Rammamere car park at the top of the hill on the righthand side before therefore we had hoped that me may be able to connect through.

- Just done another round of Rammamere, no sign. Spoke to a couple of people and they both knew about him, so at least the word is out that he's missing. Let's just hope someone spots him now. Will keep looking, we walk up there all the time.

- Oh bless you & your mum Debrus, let's hope the little fella turns up soon to cheer you up. Where did you last see him roughly? If you can give us an idea we can take that area in on our walks. Was it on the Rammamere side if Stockgrove? If so, was it in the fenced off area where they usually put the sheep, or in the wooded bit to the right, at the back of where they sell the Xmas trees, or up the back near the horsey farm? Take care. x

- All vets in the area have been contacted and posters left with them. I think Bertie's family is referring to the vets at Heath and Reach. Dog wardens in Central Bedfordshire, Aylesbury and Milton Keynes have been contacted. The area in which he went missing is walked daily early morning. Due to the terminal illness of my mother I have limited time to walk further afield and I really appreciate the help being given by others.

- My freind posted on Saturday about me looking for this little fellow - we went but no sign, dissapointed that no-one was able to meet me to inform me where to look.
I can go again but only if we have sightings because my girlie is in season and we don't want any unwanted attention so if you have more sightings please post asap. if people can look early morning or about 4/5pm most loose dogs are spotted at this time also at the back of the pub in question there is a large area of trees where there are often deer - please check around there too - 2012-05-13 15:30 debrus
- Thank you to everybody. We've walked the area every day and I've been scouring the fields when driving. If someone has picked him up I hope they are looking after him because he really is a lovely boy.

- Just spent 1.5 hours walking dogs on Rammamere side, up the back bit, all over really. No sign I'm afraid to say. Keep searching. x

- Really sorry to hear Baileys not come home yet. Still keeping an eye out for you. Have been to Rushmere today, but sadly no sign. Boyfriend has been up Stockgrove most days this week, keeping an eye out. Also driven through brickhill woods & up and down A5 to work, looking out in fields for him. Here's hoping he appears soon. All the best.

- Thankyou for those updates.
I will try and find the field you mention, opposite the flying fox, on the other side of the A5
- 2012-05-10 01:38 CBC-dog warden
- Hi. Sorry been out this evening so haven't been able to update here yet.
Unfortunately I have no good news or sightings. I have searched the footpaths on the opposite side to stockgrove park on the same side of the A5 as stockgrove if that makes sense. I have also gone down the A5 towards mk and parked in the first layby and walked the fields there.
This is a very vast area which took most of the Afternnon to search these footpaths. A dog that went missing in the same area was found on the other side of the A5 in the field opposite the flying fox. This has little buildings in it. The dog came out of the wooded area. So if anyone can search this area tomorrow, that would be great.
Good luck anyone! - 2012-05-09 18:59 B30

- Thanks owner - we know exactly where you mean now - get some posters up and inform the Stockgrove Park wardens - If the weather is good there may well be quite a lot of walkers up there today so a good opportunity for sightings if he is back above ground again now - I have sent extra alerts out to helpers in LU1-4 as people may be out for the weekend walks from those areas too

- So sorry to hear about poor Bailey. Im a regular up there, and will be up there tomorrow with my two terriers, so will keep an eye out for him, and give him the odd shout for you. I'll also let others I see know to keep an eye out. I hope he turns up soon for you. All the best. Em

- Hi. It was the Stockgrove side. There's a field alongside the a5 opposite the pub. Woodland goes from that through to Stockgrove. He has made his way from Stockgrove/Rammamere to Gt Brickhill once before. He hasn't turned up yet though.
- 2012-05-06 22:17 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Bailey has a habit of being a Border Terrier...has often disappeared and chased after rabbits...
