- A cocker spaniel very similar to Ben has been found in Hull and is posted on gumtree. Could it be Ben?
I have emailed advertiser and asked if it is Male or Female?

- Oh sorry he wasnt Ben.....wish I was closer but will still keep a lookout. Someone may have taken him in... but with all the work you are doing lots of people will know about him. Good luck x

- Oh so sorry its not him. Out of date chip can be people selling on dogs, or moving home and not updating the chip details. But date of birth and dog name would normally still be held by chip company.
- 2012-06-16 08:50 jhunter

- have a missing advert in local gazzette, rang network rail and they have not found any dogs on the local section of track. The area is very rural with literally thousands, upon thousands of acres surrounding the village. The rape fields are currently standing at 4-5 feet in height making spotting anything impossible.its possible he may have got trapped in an outbuilding,i have checked all the local barns etc to no avail,he is posted on facebook and farming sub sections, alot of people in the area know he is missing however nobody has actually had a sighting of him anywhere

- 2012-05-13 18:50 Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
- I don't know the area at all, but wondered if it's built up or rural? He could perhaps be holed up somewhere and just coming out when it's quiet -normally dawn and dusk. Have you tried leaving an item of clothing with your scent on where you last saw him?

- Living not too far away, I have telephoned to ask if the owners need any help in looking for Ben. I have suggested a BBQ to maybe entice him to the smells.
