No chip. She spent another night at vets where she is happy and today moves to foster home until a forever home is found.
lesleyjane
Not chipped then?? Glad she is well, hope she gets a lovely home if her owners aren't traced.xx
Angel
Excellent news! Well done all involved!! x
Claire and Jasper
Well done, guys! I bet she can't believe her luck. Hope her wound heals quickly - she certainly has a much better chance in life now, thanks to you. xx
PaulaK
Update - just spoke to Dog Warden again. Girlie spent the night at vets after she cuddled and kissed everyone she met - VERY affectionate bless her. She had her wound cleaned and the hair clipped around it but will need to have anaesthetic this morning to check it and stitch it as it is very deep. Will know later where she is going from there. Vet suggests she is about 5 years old on initial inspection. She had her dinner last night and was tucked up at the vets with some snuggly blankets.
PaulaK
Not her Janni. Will update you all more after I have spoken to the dog warden today

Trap is in place, we left it closed for a couple of days so he/she could get used to it. Now has food in. Just a waiting game now

Good work mike and paula...

I went across there this evening. Before I reached the house where the lady is feeding him I saw him lying on the grass verge a few doors away. He looked up with interest but didn't run away as we slowly drove past. I got to the house, introduced myself and went back into the road and he was now in the road about 30 metres away, watching (I guess waiting to be fed). I slowly went up towards him but he immediately dashed away.
After speaking to the lady a bit more, I left. As I drove away, I could see him in the bushes near the road. He was staying nearby, but avoiding contact.
I've identified somewhere to put a trap and the lady is going to slowly move his feeding station to the right spot. Meanwhile I'm going to borrow a trap and hopefully have it in position within the next couple of days.Last edited: 2012-05-11 20:00:03 by mike_p

I would say to anyone thinking of going over to help other then Mike then you should let the people that are dealing with this too many people could frighten the dog.
