I moved her from the pound to my friend's kennels today. She travels well and has very nice manners, all she needs is some time to gain confidence. She has quite a racy build which you can't see on the photos, and her head is not as large as it looks here but completely in proportion. She is only young and has a lovely gentle nature.

Owl Thankyou so much for finding 'Bess' an emergency place in kennels. Having seen her straying for so long she is very close to my heart and i so hope we can find a her a rescue or foster place very soon. We went to visit her at the stray kennels today and she is still very nervous and timid but is a very gentle girl and is easily coaxed for tasty treats ! Once she is out of the noisy stray kennel environment I am sure she will start to regain her confidence and make someone a lovely pet. xxLast edited: 2012-05-15 20:00:42 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire

She is coming into emergency boarding at my friend's kennels down the road from me. We still need a rescue space. She can't go straight into a home or foster home until she has had further assessment in kennels. She was running loose for weeks and needs a bit more time to settle down. We don't want her taking off on her own again.

i could look after her at my house if needed she is a lovely dog.

As things stand there is no immediate rescue place for this girl at the moment and we are still searching for a definite offer to make sure she will be safe.

Plus we are also waiting to hear back from other rescues as well so hopefully this girl will be safe ! I will make contact with the dog wardens concerned so they are aware too. This girl which i think waay may be a Shar Pei cross was finally caught this week after straying in and around the Cortonwood shopping centre for some months having defied attempts to be caught in a trap. She had been scavenging from fast food outlet bins but was also being fed by some workmen who have eventually gained her trust and they were able to contain her . She has been collected from them by the dog warden and is now in local Stray kennels. After all that she has been through I am anxious that in the absence of any owners coming forward she is found a rescue place.Last edited: 2012-05-11 22:07:03 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
