Oh god I'm so pleased you got Tonic back safely I hope the police are on to this what a cruel nasty person I hope justice is done! I have to say kimmybear is right we were out on walk only the other day & clocked a White van 3 men large brindle dog in front thank god we were with larger group of people when they saw me looking the were gone in a flash, I can't prove anything but felt we were being watched to quick to get number plate but have been advised to report this kind of thing to neighbourhood watch & police it has unnerved me & try to make sure I walk with others & keep an eye on my surroundings! If you need a donation to help I will gladly do so as I am to aware this can happen to any of us keep safe Tonic you lovely dog xx

Hi Kimmybear - if the person is caught, charged and convicted, would you not be able to claim the sum back through the Justice Compensation Scheme? Please don't hesitate if you need something - anything. x

Waiting for further news. Thank you JoBadger, I was thinking that myself due to the sheer amount involved, but we are hoping to figure this out. Sherlock Bones should be on the case, although its tricky. Please everyone, we know what type of person does this, so be extra careful out there. Trust no man or van driving past your home, or anywhere else for that matter. At least Tonic is safe and back home; that is what is important.xxx

Delighted and relieved to see that Tonic has been reunited with her owner:-)xxx I agree with the comments below, that this sick person needs to be caught before he tries it on with another dog; actually this happened to a friend of mine a few years ago. She had to pay up before the dog was handed over safe and sound. I think some people dont have any thoughts for the feelings of others, they are just after a "Quick buck"

I am so, so pleased this baby is safe. One sick individual needs to be dealt with. I hope the police are well up on this.

She has been returned to me - hurray - got to find the money to pay for her safe return - she would have been drowned if my friend hadnt paid them

Jill, this is a lot to go on and I suspect police can find this fairly easy with a bit of sniffing around. Did you get a crime number? This is Slough and we know who steals dogs in Slough - police do as well so please everyone be on the look out for a pick up truck with a young man driving/passenger. Jill, what is the colour of the van, do we know? Description of man?

Jill, you need to report her as stolen to the police and get that crime number. Battersea has logged her on their system as Lizzy says. Having trouble with the picture but I'll get it on there somehow! Kim x

I think that the owner has made a report of her to them and they have given her reference number 291529 and they have also got a photo of her as well.
