Thank you all for your kind words - in loving memory of Max, I've just made a donation (PayPal Confirmation number: 47Y16637966619519) to help with the wonderful work you do. When it's cold and wet and you're still out there in the dark putting up posters or up late over your keyboard spreading the word, please know that you are very much appreciated. Heartfelt sympathy to everyone who's had to join the Rainbow Bridge brigade, and millions of best wishes for many happy reunions.

GMFLondon, I'm really sorry for your loss. Even though it sounds as if Max's departure from this life was peaceful, pain-free and surrounded by love it is still so hard to lose such a good friend isn't it.
Sounds like you both had a terrific time during the past four years- lots of great memories to cherish. Thoughts are with you.
RIP Max.

Dear Max, 26/10/2001 - 27/6/2016, put to sleep peacefully and pain-free after a short illness while I cuddled him close. Thanks to Dogslost.co.uk and all you lovely people, we had four glorious years together after you found him for me. And we made the most of them! Trips to the seaside, walks in the forest, plenty of new sniffs, sausages and steak. Cats to chase, balls to ignore, rope toys to tug, and chicken birthday cakes to share with his doggie pals. Most of all, loving times together and plenty of cuddles. Thank you for finding him.

So happy he is home :) xxx

Great to see he is home safe now. Please get him chipped. June is national microchipping month and most of the large charities like Blue Cross and othere are doing discount chipping, so never a better time to get him done!

Well, as I type this, Max is sprawled on the sofa, paws twitching as he dreams, probably of this weekend's adventures. It seems so unbelievable, first that he was lost, and second that he's now back home, this time yesterday I was going round pubs, garages and industrial estates, wondering if we'd ever know what happened to him! Many thanks to Roseanne who took him in and looked after him so well, to Charlotte for that wonderful text at 1am, and to all of you for reading his lost notice and taking action. Special thanks to DogLost for providing the forum, you do an amazing job, I've just donated via paypal as my small but practical way of saying thank you for reuniting us with Max.

Think Max has been found! Just got a text, phoned the lady, her mum has a Dalmatian picked up wet and wandering close to home, fits description, am calling her later this morning, will keep you updated - thanks for all your suggestions and comments, it was a facebook post linked to doglost updates to the lady that put her in touch with me! Going off to bed now, feeling much happier!!!!!! GMF

Hi there was a male dalmation someone found on Sunday morning in the da11 area, it's posted on my Facebook page, not sure if it's him https://m.facebook.com/groups/100888483339090

I have send a basic email, but not familiar with this area, just worried he may have been picked up. Owners, someone nice could have taken him in and are waiting for dog wardens to come back to work tomorrow. I so hope so. As he isn't chipped you need to call dog wardens and councils and Highways Agencies etc. Call all rescues and kennels. You must work fast without a chip as they don't know where you are. Lets find Max. xxx
