- Andi01, yes the lady i mentioned was walking a Black & white (& possibly tan) Sheltie. I couldn't think of the breed-name earlier. I'm in the Burley area so will keep my eyes peeled. I walk in Burley Park daily and can't recall ever seeing her there with these 2 dogs. But I'll be aware from now on. It may also be worthwhile to poster the Aire veterinary Centre at 177 Kirkstall lane (if not already done), as they're right in between the 2 sightings of Stanmore Grove & Headingley Mount.Last edited: 2012-09-04 13:40:10 by Karen

- I have also seen that lady she walks it with a black and white sheltie and is very often in Beckets Park..If I see her I will approach her also. I think it may be worthwile to poster Beckets Park. Extending my dog walking in the Burley area also

- I'm not sure but i saw a similar dog being walked up Headingley Mount (away from Cricket ground)on Friday 31st Aug, approx. 4.45pm. This is not far from the other reported area of Stanmore Grove and not far from where she went missing. However, this dog was being walked by a lady with another dog. The dog was wearing a harness and had quite long/up-turned tail (for what I though was a staffie). I'm in the area half of the week so will approach the lady/dog if seen again. I'm new to the site. Is there any more info' you need?Last edited: 2012-09-04 09:47:05 by Karen

- I think I have just spotted this dog in East End Park, she was trying to foolw another man with 2 dogs but he was 'shooing' her off. We went and turned around but she had vanished when we went back so I dont know if she folllowed the bloke with the dogs into the park . I have just phoned the owner and let him know

- Thanks Fido's friend-sadly the found dog isn't Jade.
Jade went missing from the Beckett's Park area on Saturday morning. There have been no reported sightings of her since she went missing. There is a chance that she may have been STOLEN.
Owner has been in contact with all the relevant authorities and has rung the stray kennels.Jade is MICROCHIPPED and has been flagged up as MISSING.
Advised owner to poster the area like mad and to continue to ring the stray kennels.
If found, she must be reported to the dog warden as is required by LAW

- That's my area. If there's anything I can do to help... In the meantime, i'll spread the word over the various parks in the area and send texts out to other professional local dog walkers. Can also send a message out through Headingley.org.
Which area of Headingley has she gone missing from? - 2012-06-07 14:55 Minigirl - Area Co-ordinator, West Yorkshire

- Sorry to see that JADE is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (40165)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
