Angus - not heard of anyone telling a dogs breed by smell before!;) It would be interesting to know if his owner is an old lady. Look forward to the confirmation he's home.

Think this little one has been reunited & he is a bichon - will confirm with the kennels in the morning

Not sure of age but if you call me I will give you kennel details - this dog had very long untrimmed toe nails and very yellow teeth so would suggest possibly an older dog

Any chance it could be a Maltese? I am looking for a white unchipped maltese but I think this dog has a longer nose. Is this dog very old?

I think the mouth was correct for a poodle - would not stand still for a photo so really difficult to tell from my photo's - I know this sounds daft but it smelt like my great grans poodle too :-)

Are they sure this is a poodle? From the photos i think it's a Bichon.

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
