One very happy family here :) my daughter received a call asking about the reward saying they had coco , she arranged to meet them in a local car park where the man told her he had found coco with a group of russian on sunday, he was going to keep him as he said he had no collar or tag on but then saw our posters, he said the money would help him out a lot but did seem to care for coco and asked if he could say goodbye to him. Coco is home with me zooming round the house and garden like he was never away . Cannot thank everyone enough for looking out and sharing for us xxxxx

Thanks so much for all who have been sharing . have found clearer pic showing coco s white patch on chest. his legs look very long in this one but he does look like a chi with longer legs. had first prank call last night :( hoping the next call will be the one that brings coco home . Have put some flyers in ramsgate today, westgate library and minster vets and groomers and birchington vets and a nice couple took one for monkton notice board.Last edited: 2012-06-19 12:21:10 by xdebsx

I've just sent an email to Lily's owner asking her about the best way to set up the Facebook page. Glad you've swapped the photos around.

Have liaised with Debs and given out posters in Broadstairs including Broadway Garage (one of the staff is a volunteer with TAG Rescue) and the taxi company in the High Street who were brilliant. They even asked for extra leaflets and were radioing info out to their drivers. When I was putting a poster up at Joss Bay Car Park by the dog bin one of the TDC beach cleaners came up to see what I was doing. He also asked for some leaflets which he was going to give out and said that he lived in Cliftonville so would keep his eyes peeled. Debs and her family are working flat out on getting Coco home. I mentioned the Looking for Lily facebook page and suggested setting one up for Coco. Hopefully once done Debs will put a link on here.Last edited: 2012-06-17 17:31:59 by Fran Daly

Did inform ploice yesterday re info at westgate, sadly they said nothing they can do without descriptions of women :(
Today we postered and handed out leaflets on other bits of westgate missed yesterday, a man told us he saw a dog looking like coco walking near the Turner gallery on sat , couldnt recall any details about woman but said he thought it odd that dog had a coat on when it was a nice day.We also did main Birchington and minnis bay and little parade of shops inbetween.
Today we have been told of 2 foreign woman hanging around outside 30 Grovenor Place , Margate so we have postered this area as well. They were carrying a tiny dog who was barking/yapping which they thought for such a small dog was making a lot of noise. ( coco is a yapper and will bark if he sees other dogs )Please note he does have white patch on chest.Last edited: 2012-06-17 17:04:44 by xdebsx

I have emailed Lord Whiskey animal sanctuary in case he ends up with them - sent the link to this site in my email.

Debs

Based on this you need to report Coco as stolen and get police involved.

I have good contacts with local paper and will request they do a feature on Coco.

Visited Westgate today to put posters in pet shop and vets and was told 2 woman were trying to sell a dog fitting cocs description yesterday down the beach :( called the family over to poster town and hand out flyers . Also got phone number of a lady interested in having him but she was very defensive and said the lady was moving and couldnt take him with her and she was adamant that women were genuine. Dog happened to be about 2 , and blk and tan chi , coincidence ???

Have just walked up to Elmwood Farm Stables and they have agreed to put poster up in the tack room. When husband returns will also put poster up in car window.

posters in all but 2 vets now which i will do this afternoon, spoke to dog walkers in northdown pk and along sea front and handed out flyers, photo up in surf/ski cafe and cafe by tennis courts, few up in st peters, doing the ridings now and fayreness pub hopefully. thanks for sharing x
Fran Daly
Have had text from Coco's owner. They are doing all the right things and are spending today handing out flyers/putting posters up in area.
Fran Daly
Forgot to say, does Coco have a white chest? If so, you would be better using the bottom picture for your poster photos.
Fran Daly
I've put a poster up in my local post office which I know the lady who runs TAG and also another lady who volunteers at RSPCA Woodchurch are customers.

If you haven't already done so, maybe a good idea to lets local taxi offices know, local milkman, paperboy and postman know (perhaps drop poster into Margate sorting office). The cafe at Palm Bay is very popular with dog walkers so also another good place to have a poster. I have circulated Coco's details again on Twitter and am followed by a lot of locals.

Really hope Coco is back with you soon.
xdebsx
Called all vets this morning and will poster them tomorrow, pets at home has one already. Posters along seafront where he went missing and various places along northdown rd, aldi, lidl, opp tesco , newsagents etc. Police and dog warden informed . Yes microchipped. thanks for helping spread the word, devastated that no calls or sightings .
Fran Daly
Try and get some posters up along the seafront, Northdown Park and Dane Park, lamp posts on Northdown Road and also Creature Comforts and the other pet shop which I think is Animal Magic. Is Coco microchipped? Unfortunately I'm busy for most of today but do have to go to Pets at Home later so let me know if you want a poster dropped off for you.

Have the local vets, dog warden, PCSOs been told yet?

I have a friend who is a dog walker in Margate who is on the look out for Coco and have had a few local people share Coco's information on Twitter. Fingers crossed that she will be home safe very soon.
