IZZY IS COMING HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't want to get too excited until I knew for certain it was absolutely her. Emily's dad has been to pick her up and they're on the way back now. She was found in Hornsea on Saturday by some people who live in Castleford, they took her home with them for the weekend. Apparently they wanted to keep her but I'm so glad they did the right thing. Thank you, whoever you are!
Also, the biggest thank you EVER to everyone who has helped us during this, I don't know most of you at all and you have all been amazing. Emily wont be able to get on here but I know she would say the same, so from both of us, THANK YOU!

I can't wait to see her!

To bring everyone up to speed a bit... We've had a few possible sightings reported but one seems much more solid than the rest. A couple were out walking just outside Walkington on Saturday evening and saw a dog matching Izzy's description and behaving exactly as she would when confronted with a new dog and strange people. Sadly the people aren't doggy people apparently (despite owning one!?) and purposefully scared her away! Obviously this is now almost three days ago, but if it was her, she hadn't gone far after the first 24 hours. I have searched and searched in the area though and seen absolutely nothing. I put some left over food from my tea in a nearby layby and it all went over night on Sunday, but I suppose that could be anything. I'm going out soon to put posters up further afield. Already rang around all the vets, kennels, animal rescues and the dog warden again today and nobody has heard or seen anything. I still think she could be stuck somewhere as she always hides in small spaces when shes scared. Last edited: 2012-06-19 12:58:08 by Adam Snowden

Bishop Burton College kennels were informed early today/late yesterday as both Em and I know that dogs are often taken there.Trophy pet foods also informed this morning (poster left). Local area now postered. Dog walking areas searched and local dog walkers informed. Vets, dog wardens, stray kennels all notified. No sightings at all today when we were out searching

Emily works at Bishop Burton and many of us are students there :)

Thanks for the tip off about Trophy Pet Foods and the rape fields!
***Cassie***
Bunter worth contacting bishop burton college very close by and she could be attracted to there with all the animals etc. Also ask trophy pet foods to put up posters and inform them. IS there any rape fields up that way? If so search thoroughly through them, a dog was recently found 11 hours after it went missing curled up in a ball 30ft into them. Fingers crossed
Bunter
Still no sign :(

Leconfield kennels (their phone now works) have been visited and the only stray in is a staffie. Police, vets, dog warden, local kennels, post men, etc all notified. Microchip company know. Posters up on lamposts, pubs, notice boards, shops, schools, our own cars.

Thanks Minigirl :)

I am not sure about the M/C company, so have asked.

Emily has been out all day searching, so not sure if she has managed to pick up email as yet. Scent info has been passed on though :)

No sightings at all, no :(

The farm buildings, etc have all been searched, yes.

Thank you for your help.

Thank you Jayne.
Thank you Jackie and woldsway!(i wasn't sure if i had pressed the wrong button from my phone too woldsway!)
Have sent a message to offer further help/advice
Bunter has the microchip company been informed that Izzy is missing and a check that contact details are up to date.
Have you had scenting information mailed to you?
Have there been any sightings of Izzy reported at all since she went missing?
have all of the farm buildings/ outhouses/hay bale areas been thoroughly checked- it is worth noting that a dog who is hiding or has become stuck somewhere often doesn't make a noise.
Hoping for news of Izzy soon
xxx

Search party has been out until now and not a sign of Izzy :(. Some are still searching and others are postering the area.

Leconfield kennels phone isn't working, but she has been reported as lost to them and to Carr House Kennels as well, who take the Hull strays. All local vets have been informed. Dog wardens have been informed.

Emily and a lot of other people are out searching. Some more information:

Izzy has been missing since the afternoon of Friday 15 June. She ran away when it thundered.

She is a black collie/lab with a white flash on her chest and small white scar on her nose. She is wearing a purple and black collar, has ID and is microchipped. She is about the size of a lab, but finer built.

She went missing from Lions Den Farm just outside Walkington on the B1230 (HU17 8SZ). This is a map of the area she went missing from: http://goo.gl/maps/Ikx4

This is a photo: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151917249710942&set=o.240487702734128&type=1&theater

Leconfield Kennels has been notified. An alert has gone out on Farmwatch. Trying to get hold of Dog Warden, who has been paged.

A Facebook Group has been set up to co-ordinate the search: http://www.facebook.com/groups/240487702734128/

Thank you everyone.
