Thank you so much for all your kind wishes and comments today.
Too true the power of the microchip, don't worry she's getting more hugs and attention than she can handle right now. Thanks again everyone, it's so lovely to know people care. X

Just to let everyone know, we were reunited with Jasper last week.
She was picked up straying by the dog warden about 10 miles away from where she went missing 15 months ago. She looks like she has been well looked after and is getting used to home again. The family is very shocked but extremely happy. :-)))))

Hopefully Jaspers chip would get her home but just incase one to check on leigh dogs Home website:

Hi all, checked on dog at stray aid, sadly isn't jasper but does look very similar. It's very rare they don't detect the microchip, and she is definitely chipped. Will keep on searching for her.
skippy
fingers crossed this is Jasper x
gilly
Thanks for word on the found terrier on the stray aid site. I will give them a ring tomorrow, although she is chipped and they have my number should it be her. Thanks everyone, living in hope we will be reunited soon.

Hello everyone and thanks so much for your concerns on Jasper. There's been no sightings of her but I believe she is somewhere out there, hopefully being loved and cared for as we have in the last 7 years. We have postered and logged her everywhere, not giving up hope though. X

Hello and thanks to everyone for their concern. I can confirm that Jasper is female, aged 6 and went missing Wednesday 23rd May afternoon, around the rosedale, ellison area of horden, peterlee. Possibly she would have headed uphill towards the chapel hill area or football grounds near white house eden lane.

I know it's listed as male, but some DWs have been known to list incorrectly so would have thought it worth checking?

There is a border terrier listed on the stray aid site as having been picked up in Ludworth, (which I don't think is too far away?) on 14th June - probably worth a look? Ref ED124-12
