If anyone wants more details please contact the number above. UPDATE below posted on my facebook wall:

Update ....... The rescue who chipped him 6 years ago got a phone call recently saying the owner had died and would they take the dog back. The rescue didn't have transport and left it with the caller who didn't ring back. Looks like he has been deliberately let go to me. My friend who has the dog has contacted local wardens.

Majorjet, was this dog found in Daisyhill or Bury. Daisyhill comes under Bolton Council, but is very close to Atherton, Hindley and Leigh areas these come under Wigan Council. Would suggest Lewis is also reported to Dog Warden in both areas Bolton & Wigan 01942 404364 .
Have had rescue dogs that have not responded to given name, LOL think it could be my accent.Last edited: 2012-06-18 11:53:53 by Paula Marie

if he has been recently rehomed, the makers of the chip should have a register of where the chip was issued and it could be traced back to rescue agency who may have more details. Just an idea

This gorgeous boy was posted on my facebook page and I did advise they register him on DL a.s.a.p. so pleased he has been. He is MICROCHIPPED but there has been no luck contacting the registered contact numbers. He was found in the Bury area. Proof of ownership will be provided if anyone claims him. Hope his family are found soon. Good luck. x

If he doesn't respond to the name then maybe he's recently been rehomed and renamed? Or could 'Lewis' be the surname of the owner rather than the dog's name?
