I haven't been able to find any information about this...Do you know any more? Also, a friend heard of a dog being found in my area (Floods Ferry) on Bank Holiday Monday. Radio Cambridge asked people who may have info to ring in but we couldn't find ANY details or anything out from the radio station so haven't been able to take it any further. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Orchid, just been reading about a posting of a dog being found literally 200yrds from it's home. An elderly couple had been feeding it in their back garden, had seen the posters, but the dog was filthy and they didn't think it was the same one. Might be worth knocking on some doors where Willow was seen, just asking the question "Have you taken in a dog recently?" If you have some clear form of ID on you, people won't take offence, just don't ask to go inside. Good luck, hope she comes home soon x

Thank you so much everybody. Several people, most of whom I don't know from Adam, have walked the railway path to see if they can see her at all and I am so grateful to everyone who is making an effort to find Willow and bring her home.

Walked around the area tonight, didnt see anything,(did see poster at the footpath entrance beside bartletts though, so thats good as alot of people walk their dogs along there)will pop down that way again tomorrow, stay safe willow x

I've put up a poster, leafleted the street and spoken to dog walkers in the area. There is a springer living locally so it could have been her though she is black and white. I find it so hard to talk to people about it particularly other dog owners who are always lovely

Could you put some smelly food such as tripe, sardines or smoked chicken near the bins . Maybe light a barbeque (depending on weather!) Something to encourage her to return to the area, maybe set up a feeding station. Good luck.

A second possible lead while I wait to get hold of the council. A dog matching Willow's description was seen rummaging in bin bags for food on Saturday. Looked thin and underweight but looked like willow. The lady did not try to approach it but was certain it was trying to find food. Please please please look out there if you are from the area. I will be leafleting it today and taking posters

I did, through various means, come up with the number for the kennel where the Spalding warden takes her found dogs and I spoke to him. He confirmed all her dogs came to him but he hasn't been brought a springer at all. He doesn't think she takes her dogs anywhere else, however, it doesn't change the fact there IS a poster in the vets saying they have found one and I have the number from that to call this morning when they open. The lady who saw it thought the picture looked like her but I know it's a long shot. I desperately want it to be Willow obviously and I will let everyone know...

That's so true Jayne,just wish all vets and Kennels would scan the pets properly not just the neck area,I worked in veterinary practice for 18yrs and came across a number of dogs that chips had moved down to the leg and under the chest it is important to scan the whole dog.Do hope the Dog is Willow.

30 miles is not too far, in fact nowhere is too far because dogs have been known to turn up in all kinds of places. Always worth checking.

Hi....anything is possible...you hear of people picking dogs up and handing them over where they live which could be miles away.
Would the out of hours warden help you?
From spalding council website: "Outside of office hours: if the dog is lost/found/stray telephone 07939 357577"
Or maybe they could tell you which kennels the dogs are taken to?

Had a possible lead today. Through facebook and the link to this poster we have received a phone call from someone in Spalding who was at her vets this morning and there is a poster for a found Springer looking a bit like Willow who has been picked up by the dog warden. Though the warden will have scanned her and obviously hasn't come up with us there is still a small chance here.... We have spoken to the vets and they have given us the number for the Spalding Dog Warden but obviously we can't get hold of them until Monday. It's a very long shot. My husband feels that Spalding is too far away but I'm not so sure....50 miles in 3 weeks doesn't seem out of the question though. As I say.....a very long shot but a shot none the less so I will pray it's her until Monday

Orchid sorry Willow is still missing,Bless her. It its truly heartbreaking the fear and worry for her is unbearable. I do know. The not knowing how she is will be your driving force to find her. It not easy for most to find a missing dog as you know they dont come to you, you have to be out there looking and letting everyone you meet aware of Willow. Talk to dog walkers their eyes and ears you can depend on and poster i mean like 1000s if ness. They have your contact deails. Best wishes stolen Tays mum x

Don't give up Orchid1971. I have been a helper on here for many years now and believe me there are many dogs out there right now that have been missing for months and are fending for themselves quite easily. Just take a look at Quigley 35889! Keep up with the postering and if you notice any being taken down in a particular area that might be a clue as to where she is. Are there any travellers in your area? If so, make sure to poster outside the site as the mention of the reward might do the trick. Did any more come of the Chatteris sighting?

I visited Wood Green at the weekend just for a visit and there was no spaniels up for rehoming,plus i also volunteer at Poplar Farm Kennels at Sutton Gault and know they havent got Willow there....I live in chatteris and do look out for her when im out and about...come on willow your family need you home

Hi - no news I'm afraid. I'm not hopeful now as I think anyone that has taken her in will have kept her as she hasn't been handed it. And if she wasn't found I'm not sure she could still be loose after over 2 weeks.... :( But I will keep hoping for the best...

I've been to Block Fen this week and looked around and given them a poster but as my Mum is a volunteer walker there I am sure they would contact us. I haven't been over to Wood Green as it's a long way off but I might. It's 2 weeks today. I look on here every day and I check found dogs and re-united dogs and lost dogs. Not many seem to be found after this much time....

Orchid1971, I would suggest you physically visit some of your local dog homes, as several dogs have been taken in not scanned and therefore not reunited. It will give you an opportunity to give them a poster, and as one pound said "One Springer looks much like another"... I'd go weekly. It may be tough, but you are doing so much positive to get her back, this may be your answer x

Orchid1971, I've asked my family to repost again, which they have done. Are you searching at the same time she disappeared, dogs are creatures of habit, and if you search the triangle from home, possible sighting and a point from there, she's likely to be in there. Take it you have contacted local vets, dog wardens, etc. Poster everywhere you can think of, esp where dog walkers might go, pubs,shops. Hope she comes home soon x

so sorry Willow is out there still I have urged everyone on ITS A SPRING THING, springer forum that lives in each area to check on local dogs missing and to help all they can and specifically mentioned Willow and she is 1 this week.
Have you been able to contact farmers and landowners in the area and have you asked local paper to run a story, the birthday bit shld make it even more of a story. Good Luck. come on home Willow

Orchid1971, Willow is probably fearful of coming forward to anyone at the moment, she's run off, got herself lost and if that man did approach with two dogs, she's likely panicked and disappeared back into the crops. Is there any way you can leave a tee-shirt or some bedding, a used towel of Willow's, and some of her food somewhere safe, maybe you will need to sit close by and if she does show, not call her name loudly, but speak softly, don't make eye contact, ler her get her confidence and come to you. It may mean you being out for long time before she shows herself. Something smelly, like sardines or livercake might entice her. Don't overwhelm her with people, she sounds like she's a bit skittish .. goodluck

Thank you to Inkie's Mum and Mollychops. No more sightings but I am hopeful this could have been her. It's not a million miles away, still very rural where she could stay hidden. The man that saw the dog tried to approach it but it ran off though he had two dogs of his own. If it was her, I just need her to show herself instead of staying hidden in fields and crops....

A loose springer was spotted in the area of horseway/langwood drove between Chatteris and Manea this morning. The man that saw it was certain it was alone and it looked young. We've been over by vehicle but no sign. I'm going back to walk it later. But please look out there....

She is just brown and white. It's just the different light in the photos. In the sitting one she is slightly damp and in woods so just looks a bit darker. In the mud puddle she is in broad light so not as dark. Hope this helps.

You may have already done all this....Ask your neighbours to check their garden sheds and childrens playhouses etc. Also when out looking, check all used/unused barns, stables, huts, inform farmers too. If there are any dog boarding kennels in your area make them aware she is missing, alert taxi drivers, postmen, bus drivers, hand them flyers if you haven't already. Sounds like you are doing everything possible to get your girl back home safe. Good luck x Come on Willow be seen but stay safe xx

Thank you to everyone who is doing so much to help find Willow. She will be one next week and I would love to have her home with me as we are so distraught. I really appreciate all the positive comments and everyone's efforts to help us. I've contacted everyone I can think of and today been to the local vets with the posters and dropped flyers through neighbours doors....I just hope that she simply got hopelessly lost in the very tall crops in the area and that she will be spotted soon and re-united with us.

not a sighting but there have been some spaniel sized poos in chatteris between budgens and the bridge cafe it is possibly un related but there are a couple of popular dog walking areas near by.... furrowfields backs onto the main road in the right direction

I have spoken to the owner and Willow ran off from home. The Dog Warden and local vets in the area have been notified. I will E-mail General Information including contact numbers for vets in the area. I will also make up posters and flyers as and get them off to the owner a.s.a.p.
I have added Willow's details to Dog Lost Cambridgeshire facebook group and other groups in the area.
Keep safe Willow until you are found xxx
