DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
rubi, when you have a chance would be great if you could email me some photo/s of Bess with Mandy and the family. If o.k. we could use one as a REUNITED photo which would finish her page off nicely and we all love to see photo/s are them back home.

When speaking to your partner and through your emails I could tell how much you love Bess and wanted to find her. Registering on DL paid off for you and she is now part of your family which is a great ending. xxx
rubi
Majorjet, AnnieSparky... giving some updates is the minimum i can do after all of the great team work done during the week searching for Bess, was a run against the clock. without special both of you was much more difficult to found Bess, big hug for both from Bess and me. xx
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
rubi, thanks for the update. You and your family are doing great, she is so lucky to be with you. Bess is young and will love the attention the boys are giving her. xxx
rubi

DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
rubi, if you could take them out for a good walk to get to know each other that may help. It may take time for them to get to know each other properly. I will try and ring you and go through some things with you.

So pleased she has gone home with you and hope it all works out with her and Mandy. x
rubi
Thanks AnnieSparky will take your advice. Bess almost start fighting because of food that is the reason i separete, now mandy is on the first floor landing and Bess on the kitchen :) and take turns to go outside. tomorrow will put them together again without nothing to compete just hope they dont compete for mum and dad.xx
AnnieSparky
Thanks for message rubi, am so glad Bess is home safe with you. Hopefully in time Bess and Mandy will feel comfortable with each other. Some dogs are possessive about food bowls,toys.....so maybe make sure there is nothing around which they will compete over to begin with. I will ask around for advice for you. xx
rubi
I am over the moon thank you so much AnnieSparky,Majorjet and... everyone that help finding Bess she is now with my family, will stay on my house if my Mandy (female border collie) accept her. appreciate some advise. for now they are separeted.xx

DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Bess may have been FOUND and is in Leigh Cats & Dog's Home, received an email reply from the kennels:

Hi Jan, just received the poster for Bess and it sounds very much like a dog we had brought in by the West Lancs Dog Warden on the 13th June. I have spoken to the contact on the poster who will be coming down this afternoon so hopefully she will be back home this evening!

We have not had a lost report from the owner so it is lucky you sent the poster through! (and that she is still with us)
If you could let all the people that have been looking for her know - I know there have been a lot of people helping with the search!

Many thanks,

Leigh Dogs & Cats Home
AnnieSparky

SIMILAR PHOTO now uploaded and changed her breed to Rottweiler Cross from Husky Cross (we do not have ROTTWEILER x HUSKY in the breed selection on DL). To see photo you may need to refresh the page.

Admin can email alerts please be sent out. Thanks. x
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
AnnieSparky you are a star. Great we now have a SIMILAR PHOTO I will add the wording now and email alerts can be sent out a.s.a.p. Keeping everything crossed the sightings are her. Posters are the key to getting sightings. xxx
rubi
Thanks a lot AnnieSparky for your great help. i know the places you mention was really kind from you. :) xx
AnnieSparky
Also gave poster into (without picture)Derby Arms, they have pinned it up....Thanks for finding similar picture rubi x
AnnieSparky
Just got back....went up Bowkers Green Lane, put some posters up but now just seen photo up.... Spoke to farmers at end of Lane who said LAST NIGHT they had seen large rottweiler type dog along Bowkers Green Lane heading over in the direction of Mossock Hall Golf Course and was limping, gave them poster with phone numbers on....they will keep a watch. I found Golf Course off Cunscough Lane, went into the club and gave poster. I spoke to two golfers coming off course who said they had seen a large brown dog on the golf course a few times, last time being last weekend. They were not sure if the dog was limping. Really think it may be worth going up to golf course to check again if possible. I will try to replace posters with ones with photo.
Hope we find her soon, have advised everyone I spoke to, to ring numbers as soon as possible if they see Bess. xx
rubi
post similar picture of Bess. get a phone call of possible sight of Bess last night, in bad shape on a field near home get there straight away but no luck. :(
J MO
Do we have a photo of Bess? I will poster around the area as I am checking that Ben's posters are still up. Hope Bess is found soon x
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Sorry AnnieSparky, my post may of not read right. You are doing a great job searching for Bess as you always do looking for others on DL especially Ben when you joined us when meeting up to poster/search the area.

I've looked around Halewood RSPCA and nothing fitting Bess' description. Spoke to the staff and they have never seen a Rottie x Husky and agreed the importance of having a similar photo so we know what we are looking for. x
AnnieSparky
Sorry I meant that rubi is planning on visiting kennels at the weekend.....and thought Leigh would be best next. x
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Leigh Cats & Dog's Home does need visiting by someone who knows Bess. x
AnnieSparky
Just on lunch break, aiming to go out this evening to have a look.....will go around the area she was lost(so dont worry if you see a strange car stopping and starting.I have printed some posters but if we get a similar picture I will print more. Its good you have let the neighbouring farms know. If only I didnt work full time, I would drive us down to the kennels. Thats great Majorjet is checking Halewood RSPCA today....maybe Leigh next. Fingers crossed we see her soon x
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Thanks AnnieSparky for the text alert.

Rubi apologies it was my mistake I've checked my texts and the text I got while out was actually from owner of reunited JESS ID 40376. I did even comment on her page as the reunited circumstances being similar.

All kennels contact numbers were in the email I sent to you to pass onto owner.

It would really help if we had a SIMILAR PHOTO especially with the cross she is. I will be calling into Halewood RSPCA today and will look out for her.

The main kennels to check are Leigh Cats & Dog's Home 01942 671215, Halewood RSPCA 0151 486 1706, Manchester Dog's Home and Cheshire Dog's Home 0844 504 1212. It is important the kennels are visited in person and not just rely on phone calls.

Hope she is found soon. xxx
rubi
thank you AnnieSparky. yes i believe visit the kennels in person will be the best option, i only can go with husband on the weekend, i dont drive.
I wonder who say she was well and had a new collar on? Majorjet think was me(rubi)??? xx
AnnieSparky
Oh nooo, wonder who sent the message. Yes will keep looking/postering....has the dog warden and kennels been informed? might need to visit the kennels in person.(Think Jan-DL Coordinator gave you tel numbers?)Will be out searching. xx
rubi
Sorry inform you all that i dont send any message saying Bess was found, she still missing. read all your messages last night but was to late to ring the owners they just confirm what i was suspecting, PLEASE keep looking around she is not Back home. thanks a lot for all the support we really appreciate your efforts. xxx
J MO
Brilliant news. Welcome home Bess xx
AnnieSparky
Thanks Majorjet! Thats great news :) am so pleased Bess is home ans safe. Would love to know what happened and see a picture....can imagine shes lovely xx Welcome home Bess xx
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Thanks AnnieSparky for all you have done to help spread the word, have great pleasure in letting you know Bess is back HOME with her family.

Thank you to rubi for the text earlier this evening with the great news while I was out. Would be great if owner could supply is with a REUNITED photo so we can see what the gorgeous Bess looks like. Never come across this type of cross before.

Wherever Bess has been she has not gone hungry, been groomed and had a new collar on. Hopefully she will be chipped a.s.a.p. Welcome home Bess and into the BLUE you go, sending you a big hug and cuddle. xxx
AnnieSparky
Wonder if we can get a similar picture....might be difficult but never mind will put some posters up anyway with the descripton. Apologies if you already have, but just to make sure have you managed to ring the Kennels and Dog Warden? I can help if you would like, will be out again soon.....keep searching..... maybe found a nice safe place. I know a few people in area are now also looking out for Bess x
rubi
Thank you AnnieSparky.unfortunately dont have any photograph of Bess and no sightings since a week ago. we look in a few farms but no luck yet. x
AnnieSparky
Put a few posters into local vets in Ormskirk area tonight(they asked for photo if possible). Keeping a lookout for Bess. Any more sightings or information? x
AnnieSparky
Thanks rubi and majorjet. Just checked on map, she may well find her way to another farm as there are quite a few. Have you managed to get out to any of the surrounding farms? Will help as much as I can, I'll take details to local vets tomorrow....hopefully get a photo for posters but if not will print off details anyway and start getting them up in the area too. It is mostly evenings I can help search as work (wish could do more). Hope we find Bess very soon x
rubi
Thank you Annie. Bess is not mine i am just helping her owners to get her back. she run away from their farm on Bowker's Green Ln on 11-06 but we found out she have been staying on neighbors farm until last wendnesday, she have a distinct blue dot in one of her brown eyes. Many Thanks, Rubina.
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Spoken to friend of owner who has registered Bess on DL and is helping them find her. They are not sure if there are any photo/s and will ask tomorrow. Given them advice and which kennels to try and will email further info/advice which they will pass onto owner.

Details updated now with more info and where she went missing from. x
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Thanks Ashmark and AnnieSparky.

I'll try and contact family a.s.a.p. to offer help and advice. x
AnnieSparky
I live in this area, drive around Ormskirk and Bickerstaffe frequently. When possible a few more details of where and how Bess went missing would be great and I will get posters up. Am going to my local vet tomorrow with Sparky so will take poster with me. Will keep a close lookout.
