- I have fantastic news! Yesterday we were lent a trap from Woodgreen Animal Shelter via a Dog Warden ( Thank you so much )and set this up at the back of our fields in the woods where we last saw her. The Scouts were cooking a BBQ that evening so we thought it was a good opportunity to lure her in with the cooking smell. Sausages were put in the trap and two food trails left at 8pm. I went and checked the trap this morning and Cassie was laying all curled up asleep in it! She is skinny and very tired but the relief on her face when she came in our house was lovely. She is home now and resting quietly.
Thank you to Emma and Jaffa and Phillipa and Jo for their support and encouragement when I was down. I am very lucky to have caught her and wouldn't have done it with out your help.
Also thank you to every one who has put posters up and called me when she was seen around. With out this she could still be out there. Thank you Thank you XXX - 2012-06-29 22:30 Julie - Area Co-ordinator - Surrey & South London
- How very disappointing no sightings today but keep up the good work am I right in saying she wasn't seen for a couple of days and then appeared again? It may be she is holed up somewhere and will show herself again soon or someone will spot her and even better be able to get hold of her. I am thinking of you and will be away tomorrow meeting my elderly mum for her 80th birthday but I am hoping when I am back to see great news. With all good wishes. Julie x

- Most of the food has gone from in the wood but there is a few cottages who have 2 Labradors and they walk through there about 4 times a day so I wasn't expecting anything to stay! The food trail from the wood through our field to the house is still there. I have done the map thing and she isn't doing a very good triangle!Food trail left again tonight but we haven't had any sightings today which is disappointing. I have put more posters up around Yardley Hastings, Easton Maudit and Bozeat. So fingers crossed some one may see her soon.

- Had any of last night's food trail gone ? Maybe she ate it and has holed up now to sleep it off in a quiet spot somewhere. I am sure she can't be too far away as she has been around crossing over the roads near home. Any chance of getting a trap set up for her I know this is tricky if you are not sure where she is but in the nearby fields at the back of your home could be a good spot. Thinking of you and wishing her home to you. Julie x

- Been out again this morning where she was last seen and around the area but nothing! My mum has also gone out around the area for about 2 hours searching but hasn't seen anything.
I have left another trail of food and will go out again tonight. She must be getting hungry by now. - 2012-06-28 23:39 Julie - Area Co-ordinator - Surrey & South London
- Well done Nicola - sorry to hear of those roads. Here's hoping she comes back tonight maybe when it is dark and quiet and the roads are not so busy. I think she is trying hard to get back to you but maybe losing her confidence at the last minute if she keeps crossing the roads. That must have been awful hearing cars beeping while you were in the woods. Praying she stays safe and sound and I am hoping when I log in tomorrow she will be in the blue safely back home. Julie x

- Julie, yes we have taken a few dogs out to leave a scent down for her to follow back. We are between two very fast roads and she keeps crossing them! Today we heard the cars beeping as we were in the woods searching and it was horrible.
Thank you for the scenting guide I have done all that's on it apart from the triangle which I will do tomorrow. We have left another trail tonight of cooked chicken so fingers crossed she will stay near.
Thank you for all of your help with finding her. Fingers crossed she stays local and we maybe able to get a trap sorted. X - 2012-06-28 21:46 Julie - Area Co-ordinator - Surrey & South London
- Just a thought do you have any other dogs at home that she knows and is friendly with - could you take one out with you into the fields near where she was seen, it may do the trick or are there any friends around with dogs that she knows that could help you - good luck am thinking of you. It may be she will lie low until dark and it is quiet and then make her way home along your food trail. Julie V. x

- Nicola that is great news sounds to me as if she is trying to get back home to you - praying the food trail works maybe she is just trying to get some confidence to make it home. Praying and wishing this lovely girl is soon home. Julie V. x

- Nicola - I will send you the scenting guide by email - it may help if she is close to home x

- She has been seen twice today behind our fields. I have been out searching since 5pm but not seen her. My husband saw her at 6pm but she was running away from a walker :( I have left a food trail back to our farm. Fingers crossed she starts to make her way back to us. I have left all the gates open for her.

- UPDATE*** Nic had a call from a local farmer and the dog has been spotted again. Nic has been back out to the area with food etc. She seems to be staying in the area and has again managed to cross a busy road safely. A food trail has been left in the hopes it will lead her back to the farm. Fingers X'd.

Hi, she was last seen on Monday evening at 9pm and started coming towards the owners of the farm but as he closed the door she ran. He followed her to a huge wood but lost her in there. We have put food out for her here and posters all around the area. The area she was last seen in is fields and a huge Wood! There are loads of out buildings and farms around so she really could be any where. Not seen on Tuesday or today and I have been out around the roads checking verges all day.
Please if any one does see her contact me.
Also thank you to every one who has put posters out, I really appreciate it and just hope we find her.- 2012-06-26 22:14 Julie - Area Co-ordinator - Surrey & South London
- Was wondering how you are getting on and if there have been any more sightings of her today ? Are there any outbuildings near where she was seen that you could put food in and leave doors open to tempt her in ? Good luck and best wishes. Julie V.

- Oh what a shame she is so scared stunning looking Shepherd - is she a rescue ? Does she have a favourite doggy toy preferably one that squeaks or a favourite doggy friend you could take along which would help entice her to you. If you can try and speak to all the farms around so they are aware just in case there are sheep in the fields. I am sure most farms will do their utmost to help you. Failing being able to get her to come to you try the Dog Warden to get a trap in place for her - I am afraid I am in Mid Sussex so not near enough to offer much help on the ground and I do hope she is soon back home with her family. With all good wishes for a successful outcome. Julie V. x.
