AnnieSparky
We should check to see if the posters you put up there are still there tomorrow....x
Erics mum
The way i went was at far as the indian restaurant at the rounder/b then first left and follow the road as if going to rainford then at end of the road turn left past houses and open country to the end of the road then turn right onto industrial park and its just a tad further up on the right. they are parked up there !!! x
AnnieSparky
Hi, I didnt see them last night when I was over by the industrial site....but i might have been in a different place. Is that by the business park? Sorry missed you, I was a bit late. x
Erics mum
oops slip of the keys !! has anyone else seen the caravans on the industrial site ? there is only about 4 and some vans x
Erics mum
Got in from work at 6pm and straight out once changed. Must just keeping missing everyone as met Alex and her partner at Quattros at 7pm to give then the posters as promised, then put some more posters up either side of the road. Went back onto the industrial site and put more posters up there. There looks like there are some gypsy caravans on a spare bit of land there but no dogs or children running about anyway i got in at half 8pm and will be back tomorrow ...... Come on Tocky we are all looking for you ..... xxxx
AnnieSparky
Got to Quattros for 19.15 and just in now....sorry I missed everyone. Had a walk across the field at the back of quattros......no signs of Rocky :( There is certainly alot of trees and bushes and a huge wooden den in the woods there....ideal to hide in. I notice Quattros and the farms at the back have got CCTV....wonder if they have recordings.
I went into Quattros, gave a poster and some fliers out.....they will ask around. Posted alot of fliers to the houses by the petrol garage...........will poster more tomorrow towards the Stanley Gate area and post fliers out. C'mon Rocky boy xx
AnnieSparky
Claire....poor you and Charlie, that must have been so difficult.
All the team are determined to find Rocky xx

kath.....I could do that no problem, tho Majorjet DL coordinator in her post (28/06/12 01:26) said she had emailed posters to a few places including Animals in Need...maybe they didnt get it. xx
kath
can anyone drop a poster or email one to animals in need amelling. i have given them his details this morning over the phone but a poster they could display would be great. My computer has broken so am unsing daughters old laptop at the min, it won't let me email attatchments or print anything grrr
clairejane115
Well Charlie our son is inconsolable at 6 he's taken this the worst ;(
AnnieSparky
Thanks Claire, I thought it was....think I put a poster on that gate last night.......yes I agree theres plenty of places for him to hide.....you and mark are doing great, hope your little boy is ok xx
clairejane115
By the kennels and quattros then if you go back down towards mr elephant not far from where I just said there is a metal gate to get in the field with a gap in the middle someone said he went through there x marks rang everyone and been out nothing x like I said I think he is hiding x
AnnieSparky
Hi, just checking in. I'll be at Quattros at about 7pm too.
Claire....just to double check where Rocky first ran off....was it pretty close to the kennels or further up, off the bypass?
Lots of people know about him now and are looking out. Am guessing you have rung the dogs homes and wardens today. We'll look in and under bushes etc......as Tris mum says we have to remember the "triangle"......xx
Erics mum
Alex i will meet you at Quattros at 7.00pm and drop you some posters off x 0776 458 2099
kath
Have put a poster up in pets at home aintree, rainford petshop and rainford gunshop. Won't be able to help tonight as got the kids and hubby out but am regularly driving up and down coalpitt lane/holly lane and the bypass to look out x
clairejane115
Mark has been out all morning and spoke to more or less everyone trekked through the wood areas my guess is he is either hiding or someone has taken him x hoping to go out again later but were planning on telling our 6 year old which we are dreading x if any one is going out of they can look in bushes etc that would be a big help x :(
Tri's Mum
Claire..dogs on the run usualy work in a triangle..he could be heading back on himself...is that the normal walk you take him on..or do you use the Moss at all..good luck..xx
alex
Hi everyone. Will be searching this evening from 6.30.until about 8.00 starting at Quattros and doing a circuit of Skem, Upholland, Rainford and back to Quattros. Thanks Erics mum for the offer of printing posters for me. If it's possible could we meet at Quattros at some point so that I can pick them up? Many thanks. x
AnnieSparky
Lots of luck today, in work but will check for any updates....aiming to go out this evening for another search poster session. xx

Erics mum
Well tomorrow i will call some vets in the area while i am at work ....keep strong xx
clairejane115
Just got back and no sign x
clairejane115
They are still out looking will update when they get back x
AnnieSparky
Yes I agree....getting the posters up is so important....thought the same about Quattros, only had one poster left then and put it on the gate at the back, by the field. Good idea going out at this time, Claire.....fingers, paws and everything crossed x
icce
I walked all around sidings lane today and linear park taking a lead and doggy treats with me just in case but no joy, :( the council rangers based at Taylor park patrol Sidings lane they will put posters up for you and keep a look out for him their number is:01744 678073 sorry i cant print any as my printer is on the blink. I shall keep looking and hopefully get the printer up and running again, I hope he is back where he belongs soon. Pets at home on the retail park and the 2 pet stalls on the market in town is a good place for posters x
Erics mum
Its just nice to feel like you are doing something ... I didnt go in the restaurant as it looked heaving so i stuck one right outside and also one round the back where the carpark is xx
Erics mum
I thought that too, and will go out again tomorrow around the same time as i am only 12 miles from there
AnnieSparky
Erics mum, we must have just missed each other :) Thats great about the posters....I was sorry I didnt have many with me. Will put a poster up in my car when I get printer sorted tomorrow. Just thought I didnt give poster into Quattros itself. Might see you tomorrow x
clairejane115
Marks gone back out again now with my mum to see of he's around x whilst it's dusk he may show up x
Erics mum
Just this minute got back from Quattros AnnieSparky suprised i didnt see you there put posters all up to the top of bypass on same side as the Italian and all down the lanes and onto industrial estate at back. Ran out of posters but will go tomorrow night and do the other side !!! drove down all the country lanes as i thought it was a good time for him to come out of hiding. I was surprised also that there were no posters there (there is now) must have been the same policeman parked who was watching me !!! lol clairejane please dont get upset as we had a GSD and he went missing whilst in kennels and we were heartbroken as it was in open countryside. He was also not very friendly but with the help of posters he wandered into a little country pub and they recognised him from the poster and locked him in the tap room and rang the kennels and this was 8 days later. Even though he didnt know the area he kept not far from where he went missing !! if only dogs could talk huh ? keep your chin up as everyone is doing there best to bring this sweet boy back asap xxxx
AnnieSparky
It is so difficult.....but many many dogs are found safe and well......and hes chipped. Early days. All the posters are going up, word is getting around, the local papers is a good idea. Have you put him on the Animal Wardens website? I will definately go out again tomorrow armed with more posters (hope my printer is sorted by then x) got everything crossed x
clairejane115
I'm struggling to believe he's still lost he's a big pooch with a loud bark and could t of one in noticed x I'm starting to think someone has taken him or he's badly hurt ;( trying to be positive but it's very hard x
AnnieSparky
Claire, you are doing great.....keep going with everything, ringing around etc......he's got to be somewhere :) Will keep searching x
clairejane115
Thankyou so much hun spoke to the man at kennels a few times I really appreciate you going out there it means alot xxx I've contacted the police on 101 and they have my details x I haven't tried the one cottage across from the rainford bypass there was a Wendy's flowers van there before x marks gonna go out tomorrow xxx
AnnieSparky
Just back after a few hours searching.....no signs of Rocky yet but spoke to a few people about him. The nice man at the boarding kennels near Quattros already knew but I gave him a couple of posters, hes going to give a few out to friends he knows. Also spoke a nice policeman parked up by there who said he would keep a look out (he has a GS of his own!). He also advised ringing the non emergency police number 101 to report Rocky as close to busy roads.
Went along White Moss Road, spoke to a man with 2 German Shepherds who already knoew about Rocky and is looking out for him.
The word is getting around......I didnt have many posters with me as my printer is playing up. Put one up by Quattros but there werent many up along the roads. Will go back soon.
Am also in Aughton/Ormskirk area telling as many people as I can.
Hope we have news of Rocky very soon xx
clairejane115
Kath and everyone else you are so amazing were trapped back in the house now with our little boy who keeps asking were he is I hope to hesr some good news were really struggling to keep it together but your genorosity is helping more than you know x
Erics mum
Just on my way up there in the car for a drive round to see if i can see anything, Alex i will print you a load on posters off tomorrow if you want to post them around L39
kath

kath
managed to catch the gamekeeper this evening and alerted him, he will keep a look out. Poster given in to Map Challenge at skem. Noticeboard in the concourse is no longer there so poster left at lottery desk, they are not allowed to display it but lady promised to place it on counter for people to see while she was there.
Unknown
Hi I went to the industrial estate you are talking about for a quick look after work tonight. It is called white moss ind estate. It would be an ideal place for him to go it is behing quattros and not far by foot or paw. There quite a few houses at the back and some farm buildings lots of places to hide. Only had a very quick drive through. I am working tomorrow and Friday or I would go and have a wander about. Have you contacted the Skem Dog Warden? I will keep my eyes peeled but hopefully he will show himself soon. xxx
alex
If someone could print posters for me, I will put them up in the Aughton area L39 where I live. Setting off to Quattros and surrounding areas soon for a look round. x
clairejane115
They are not sure it's a shepherd x
AnnieSparky
Thanks, is that where someone saw a GS earlier? Might bump into you there later! Need to get my bearings from Quattros first....you might need to think of a trip down to Leigh Dogs home in person (just to make sure). Our brill DL coordinator Majorjet is sending Rockys details over to them later too xx
clairejane115
My mum was saying junction 4 on the m58 there is an industrial estate loads of places backing onto fields by quattros gonna try there later x
AnnieSparky
Am glad you have rang them Claire.....keep ringing them when you can. We'll keep looking, he may be lying low somewhere. I'll head out this evening, if I see a gap I'll put a poster up :) .....I'll go up by Quattros to start with....fingers and paws crossed xx
clairejane115
Rang them and nothing it's like he's vanished x
AnnieSparky
Its so hard I know... but we'll keep looking and spreading the word. Did you manage to ring Leigh Cats and Dogs home, Dog warden, mirochip company? Keep your chin up.....you are doing really well xx

I'm Ormskirk way so will poster on the way home 2moro and do the local Vets, boarding kennels, supermarket notice boards
alemap
have alerted friends in rainford and bickerstaffe and st helens
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Tx for local knowledge...sending alerts out now...to L39
kath
Quattros falls under bickerstaffe, ormskrk so postcode is L39, just over the border from rainford.....could you send alerts to this area too please Jayne.

From this roundabout he could head towards Bickerstaffe, ormskirk, back towards rainford or towards old skelmersdale. Would therefore be worth contacting both st helens, west lancs and merseyside dog wardens (close to M58 towards liverpool if picked up by a car).

clairejane115
He got off the lead and chased a cyclist then bolted in one of the fields x will do the papers tomorrow x Nik thanks for that I really do appreciate it xxx
J MO
How did Rocky go missing? I am looking for Ben in this area so can look for Rocky as well. Ormskirk Advertiser and St Helens Star should be contacted for some publicity on Rocky. also Leigh Cats and Dogs home and the West Lancs Dog Warden. Hope there is news soon x
Unknown
Be hopeful go and put as many posters up as possible the petrol station near there, the sandpiper, the indians on the roundabout. I live in skem but kids are in school in Rainford i have posted on my facebook. I will go that way to school tomorrow and take a poster to school. xxx
