Paul you should receive an email alert for any dogs missing in your area automatically and it would be great to have your help for other owners.

That's very kind of you to offer to lend your trap should anyone in the area need one. I've already put you on my 'trap lending' list LOL!
paul holmes

That's a shame Paul. I hope you get some sighting soon or she goes into one of the traps. Maybe someone has caught her so make sure the area is still well postered just in case.

Hope all goes well tomorrow, As Sue says with the weather we've had round here today she's probably been hiding out and there's loads of places that would be possible round there. It's looking like it might be a bit drier tomorrow - fingers crossed.
paul holmes
thankyou Sue

regarding the RSPCA im most unimpressed by there lack of interest it seems that they are only interested if they are on the telly i used to support them in any way i could financial or other but im afraid that will now stop i would sooner my donations go too this excellent organisation also i would like to give a special mention to Jodie Fairbrother of the second chance rehoming kennels in derby even though she is on holiday she has given me a lot of support thankyou
B30
Paul she may not have been out and about so much today because she might have found a dry place to rest up. Good luck tomorrow
paul holmes
thankyou everyone for your kind words & advice im pretty hopeful that she will be home soon i have 3 traps i have baited the area this evening i did not see her today but im not worried as she doesnt like water at the best of times & my god have we had some rain today!!! im going to set the traps tomorrow & camp out a distance away so that i can be on hand should we catch herLast edited: 2012-07-06 21:52:17 by paul holmes

B30
Paul, I've emailed you a few ideas about setting traps which may be useful.
rottie
good luck, will be thinking of you!
paul holmes
im going to buy one tomorrow im very concerned as she is due her first season anytime and there are a lot of very large foxes in the wood and surrounding area
B30
A trap might be the quickest and easiest way to catch her Paul. Have you got one, or know where you can lend one from?
paul holmes
hi all no luck yesterday night but went to the same place early this morning spotted her again but she bolted stayed all day barbq but no luck left some tripe her bed & blanket & Janines tshirt will have a look around dusk its a good job im self employed what does everyone think about setting a humane fox trap ?
BBKM
Very good advice given, lets hope she is tempted out of her safe hiding place. Good luck Paul, you are doing brilliant. Stay safe sweet little Minnie xx
B30
Paul I've emailed you some very detailed info on catching dogs that might be useful if you don't catch Minnie today.
AlisonH
Paul go back to that same spot at a quiet time. Take one of those disposable BBQ's and cook some lovely smelly sausages or sardines. The smell may tempt her out. If it does do not shout or chase her. Get close to the ground and speak very quietly or even whimper softly. She may take a few minutes to recognise you so be patient and if she comes close enough pop a slip lead very gently over head head. Good luck.
B30
Good luck Paul, sounds like she's found a safe hiding place in the wood, I hope you catch her soon.
Unknown
get a hot chicken from the supermarket and go to where you last saw her, chances are she has found a hiding place.Dont rush to her because she is blind in one eye it may scare her and in her panic she doesnt reconise your voice..good luck in getting the little sweetheart home today xx
scootjockey

i saw her this evening at the place where she was last seen on millership way ilkeston but when she heard me shout her name she went into a thick wood i searched for her with 5 people for 2 hours but to no avail she must have been startled thats why i think she has not been reported anywhere i need someone to tell me how i can flush her from the wood ? & get her to come to me please help im desperate i think i may set up camp tomorrow in a tent to see if she will come out what does everybody think ?Last edited: 2012-07-04 22:57:42 by paul holmes

Spoke to owner, she has contacted DW, vets, chip company, kennels, radio, ad going in paper next week. Have given her sites to check/put lost ads on on the internet. She has put her on facebook. Postering is being done where she went missing. Maybe a good idea to hand flyers out in the local town.Last edited: 2012-07-04 10:33:36
