Millie was picked up last night around the area where Wispa lost the trail on a main road. She jumped straight into the car of a rescue volunteer from Newbold, smart move or what? She spent the night with this kind lady and was reported to police who kept details and matched them up when owner called them this morning. Big thank you to Chesterfield police :)

Thank you Admin and Co-ordinator for your advice sheet and updating this page, Owl and Wispa I simply cannot express how grateful I am for your help today, we continued the trail afterwards walking right through the woods to Hundall and towards the mast and over fields down to Glasshouse Lane. No signs as yet but back on it at first light. And Barneysmum, wow what can I say just so utterly humbled that a complete stranger would go so far, just can't tell you how grateful I am to you all. I will let you all know as soon as she turns up! thank you again xxxxx

Sounds hopeful. Will check the site in the morning to see if she has come home. X

We got a trail which led through fields and along footpaths she knows well, but came out and crossed the Chesterfield Road to run through a small estate and then through playing fields before swinging back in a circle towards home. After an hour and a quarter I stopped as Wispa was starting to lose concentration. It does seem that Millie is trying to get herself home. Last edited: 2012-07-07 22:58:18 by Owl
