- Phew .. that's a relief! Lucky to have been found by a dog lover. I'm so glad to hear Ollie is home! Lasagne .. being spoilt eh?!!! Wonder if it may be worth getting a tag in case he runs off again? That way someone would know who to ring straight away.. just your tel number (not his name tho!).

- May be worth telephoning Jim Fiddimore, owner of Iden Kennels, as he has been known to take in from the RSPCA. 01797 280384. (Iden at Peasmarsh as opposed to near Benenden)
Let us know if you need help on a search or areas which he could possibly have gone and not been checked yet, although I am sure you have covered pretty much most of his walks. - 2012-07-09 09:56 Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
- Good morning. Hoping Ollie turns up today. Suggest you ring the Blue Cross at Northiam as they may have had Ollie handed in.. if he's not there then at least you can make them aware. I'm not sure where the RSPCA would place him if he was found by them, but that's something the Dog Wardens would be able to tell you. Are there any kennels in the area? If so, perhaps contact them too just in case. Good luck.

- thank you for spreading the news on your walks, it really does help. x

- that's a good idea, didn't realise there was a website for the wardens. Will pass the numbers/info on. No when he went off before it was for minutes, mum heard the fireworks, went out to get him and caught him in time so he was barely up the road. The old lady is our neighbour a few doors up so he didn't get far. I think he just panicks and doesn't know what to do, but because there was disco music we didn't hear any fireworks this time. x

- You say he has gone off before, was this just for the day or has he disappeared for some time? We met a few people out today on our search and they were aware the Ollie is missing and on the lookout too.

- Would also suggest that you contact the dog wardens in surrounding areas Hastings / Rother as well just in case someone has picked him up as a stray and has taken him to their area.. and check out/add him to the animal warden website in case he has been taken in. Rother dog warden 0845 241 7253 Hastings dog warden 0845 241 7253 Wealden dog warden 0845 241 7253. http://www.animalwardens.co.uk/lost-found-dogs-search/all-dog-warden-phone-numbersLast edited: 2012-07-08 21:47:41 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

- We have contacted sissinghurst castle, and walked round there twice, but thank you. Will go in to the shop, and keep eyes peeled in any sheep fields (that's one of our biggest worries is him going to 'play' with the sheep harmlessly and getting shot by a farmer..) We have had a look around the school grounds as it is only opposite our house, will have more looks tomorrow. Last look about an hour ago. Thank you for the help and support, and thank you for the message, it was to my mum's phone (sorry if she didn't reply she can't work texts brilliantly!) she was up all night waiting and looking for him so has gone to bed, but I shall pass the advice on to her tomorrow. Many thanks. xx

- You are doing really well and hopefully you will find Ollie soon. You could contact Sissinghurst Castle/Gardens (the National Trust place)01580 710700 and also I think there is a little shop (The Village shop?) on the main road (the Street?) towards there that all the locals use .. used to go there when working at stables in the area. - Hi Crayon, Have you looked around Cranbrook Gramma School, as there's lots of places he could have sheltered in. Give the school a ring in the morning maybe? Wishing he comes home soon - if you need more help please leave a message here. I live locally, and only too happy to help. (I was the one that text you today) xx

- thank you for all the kind words and advice, I have designed a poster and will get it printed off early morning and put up, hopefully in time before the school run, I think that's a good idea as many of the parents live locally because of the catchment area. Will make sure he has something incase he comes home tonight, will get on to the wardens and vets again tomorrow morning. Hoping someone has taken him in and is waiting until monday to go to the vets, as they were closed today. Think I will also go up to the farm shop and speak to the local drivers etc. He's just such an explorer he's prone to getting himself stuck in places and staying there until somebody helps him out again! I do hope he is warm and safe, that is all I wish for him. We didn't see him go, he was out sitting on the doorstep of the cottage as he always does, and mum checked on him at about 10pm and he wasn't there. He must have jumped out but not sure which direction, we assume up towards Sissinghurst as that is his way to work (mum takes him to the stables with her!) and his usual Saturday walk and there is an old lady up there who found him last time he walked off when fireworks went off. We think the party up the road might have had some fireworks, or perhaps he saw a fox; he's not prone to just running away. Oliver your bowl is full of bacon should you choose to come home tonight xxxx

- Sorry there is no further news or sightings as yet. Did you actually see your dog jumping over the garden fence last night, or did he just disappear from the garden? Just wondering, as to whether you saw the direction he was heading. Second everything Clarkey has said in the post below, Don't forget to call the vets in Cranbrook, and hawkhurst etc and dog warden. May be worth cooking some sausages in your garden tonight, as the smell may lead him back home if he is hiding out locally.

- Hi, sorry to hear Ollie is missing. If he is not home tonight I would suggest you put posters up by the local school Angley (?) ready for the morning in case anyone has seen him .. I'm sure all the parents and pupils will help keep a look out for him. Also let the postman/post office/ banks/ milkman/ local taxi drivers and delivery drivers from the supermarket know as they obviously cover a fair amount of mileage in the area. Perhaps the local bus services too. Oh and the farm shop out on the main road into Cranbrook may be an idea too. Would suggest early hours of the morning and just before it goes dark (when it's quieter) would be good time to call/whistle to him etc. Also perhaps put something like his blanket/ bed in your garden for him as comfort in case he comes home overnight. Hoping Ollie comes home when he is hungry! Fingers and toes crossed!Last edited: 2012-07-08 20:43:26 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

- Sorry to see Ollie is missing. If he ran off frightened he may have got himself into a quiet safe place like a garden shed/hut, childrens playhouse, used or unused barns, stables etc Remember to keep checking all these in the area. Also allotments, church or graveyards, nice quiet areas. He may lie low for a few days until he gets hungry. Hope he is found safe very soon. Good luck x

- Hi there, thanks so much for the support. Just wish the weather would stop being so depressing and cold, we have been out looking everywhere but to no avail. Thankyou for all keeping an eye out for him. xx

- Hi, SpringerMad and myself went up the lane behind the vets in the High Street, across the fields behind the co op, then back up the High Street. Also, went to the Ball field, where we met another walker who is also looking out. Will keep looking...
