Hope Poppy is found soon. Will pray for her safe return soon. All xd. These people act as they do because they omly think of "Number one" Try to make her "Too hot to handle" This is theft. Keep searching.
kochita
Im so sorry that you still have no news on little Poppy. Its dreadful that some-one has cut her collar off and kept her and not returned her to you.How can people be so heartless. It must be somebody quite local as who else would walk down Westfield? I will keep on asking around Oakley as we have lots of dog walkers on the airfield, you never know, someone may have heard something. xx
slocke
poppy's collar was found very very close to where we last saw her in the field with a perfect cut that could only be done using scissors so we suspect that she has been kept by somebody else or perhaps sold on, so if you know of anyone that has recently bought an old dog like poppy please please contact me!
Ellie
I also was wondering about this little girl. Is there anymore news on her? I have asked my son who lives in Shabbington but he hasn't heard either !
kochita
Is there any more news on this little dog, as it all seems to have gone quiet?
kochita
Hi...Maybe it would be a good idea to put up some posters at the entrance to the bridlepath in Oakley, it is just on the corner past where bucks recycling was. also some in the village and in Brill and Easington. I would do it for you but my printer isnt working. If you would like to drop some off to me I can put them up for you though.
slocke
kochita- yes i've put posters up in shabbington, long crendon, worminghall and ickford. and no she will probably come up to you, but she doesn't bark if called for, thankyou
kochita
I forgot to ask..is she a nervous little dog or is she likely to come to me if i do see her, as dont want to frighten her off
kochita
Hi Slocke... The bridlepath does fork off to ickford, but if you go straight on it takes you to Oakley and is very close to the airfield. It wouldnt have been very far for her to walk really. I live in Oakley and the airfield has been used for car-parking for Art in action this weekend, so thousands of people have been there. I will start looking in my area now i know where abouts she went missing, as i am out on the airfield every day and along the bridlepath with the horses. Have you put posters up in the surrounding villages?
slocke
kochita- it's the footpath along past westfield house that poppy was lost but i've widened my search to the bridal path too

shereen- thankyou very much i will try that!

ellie- no i didnt, the field is a long way away from any roads
Ellie
Hi Shereen
Do we have any news on this little girl? My son says that there is a sign gone up in Shabbington but otherwise all seems quiet !
Shereen
Left a message for owner to check and update page
Ellie
Hi Again
Did you see any suspicious looking vehehicles around the time that she went missing ? Vehicles such as a white van ?
Ellie
Hi
One of my sons lives in Shabbington and sometimes walks his dogs in this area. He said that there are a lot of rabbit holes in these fields. Is there one in particular that you have in mind ? To add to Shereens excellent idea, I have heard cases that if the dog is a bit rotund and gets stuck, then after a couple of days when they have slimmed down a bit then they can scramble out. My son has said that he will keep an eye out too .
Shereen
slocke if its possible she could be down a hole...there is an easier way to tell...get a long piece of plumbers pipe about and inch in diamiter and 3 meters long ish,the plastic stuff...stick the pipe into the hole without clogging the end with dirt...then put the other end to your ear...this amplifies any sound down there and cuts out wind noise...call her name GENTLY down the pipe and then listen...Last edited: 2012-07-13 10:01:51 by Shereen

Slocke...I know westfield very well as i used to keep my horses there...is it the footpath along side westfield house or farther along where the bridlepath is, as they both bring you out on the shabbington road? Where would you like me to help you, as i am around between 10am- 12 tomorrow
slocke
kochita- she was lost on a footpath through the fields that comes of westfield road, on the way to the road to shabbington

ellie- i've thought of this and had a look but it's very hard to tell if she's down the hole or not as you can't see to the bottom obviously but i've been keeping an eye out in ditches too thanks
Ellie
As the owner of 3xJRT's when in fields ,I am constantly in mind that they are prone to stick their snouts down rabbit holes etc. I'm not too au fait with Yorkies, but is it possible that she has done this and gone to far ?
Shereen

Sorry to see that POPPY is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (41112)

  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
