Please for help. We are worried about this girl, as she has bad back legs and the other dog, her son, has got back home, but she hasn't. Please can anyone help in a ground search of the area? If so please post on here and we can co-ordinate, or simply go out and check around the Matching Green and the Matching area and from Threshers Bush to Matching Green. Also to poster. Thank you. x

If anyone can help, we can do a search party. I'm not here tomorrow, but I so hope she is back by then, but Sunday I will help. If there's enough of you. you could do it tomorrow. Do like the police do and spread out in a line, checking verges, ditches, anywhere nice to bed down, etc Also check any ponds, as that would be a drink source and bushes surrounding it. Look for doggy loo, hopefully she has found something to eat. x

Lucy, thank you sooo much for helping. Yes, absolutely. The damp brings out smells, but the rain will wash it away after a bit. Dog's noses are very good though so let's hope for no rain. I am a bit concerned as I wouldn't have thought Fred would have left her if he could help it, unless he thought by getting home he could get help. Have owners tried to take Fred out on a long lead to see where he goes? Although he may be a bit tired or even traumatised himself. Can we plot from yours Lucy, to their home, and see if the 414 sighting fitted in. Is that a triangle? If so, that is where we all need to walk - the triangle. I didn't see any posters up, so we really need them as no one will know she is missing and may have taken her in. Jackie from Petsearch went out today and spoke to a number of people, but we do need posters. I did send an email, but they may be too panicked to actually read it. They need to scent the area as well, in the direction they ran off in. Might be an idea to scent a safe route from Lucy's home to their home, but I don't want her getting confused about which scent to follow. How far is it between houses Lucy? If not too far, then suggest we scent from you to them away from roads. Really need to get word out with posters. Come on girl, please get home now. x

I do so hope Laika is trying to find her way home just rather slower than Fred, bless her, she could well be resting up as her legs will be tired I am sure. So hope when I log in again she is in the blue and safe. All good wishes. Julie x

Fred found his way home at about 6am this morning! Owner is very worried about Laika out there on her own. Kim - Do you think she will be able to follow Fred's scent back home? x

Do we have a more precise location or whereabouts was Fred found in the end?
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Oh my. Okay, we need to work outwards from where Fred was found. I am sure they'd try to keep together, remember she may need to rest more because of her back legs. She could have found a cosy place to lie down, please check everywhere you can. We also need posters up. Thank you.

I'm in CM17 so will hand posters out when I'm out with my two over the weekend. I'll keep an eye out too obviously, but I'm not that close to the area where she was last seen. Hope she's safely home soon.
Sasha
Her son Fred has now been found but Laika is still lost. Thanks.

We need to plot their course. Threshers Bush, John Barleycorn pub - A414 - Matching Tye/Green. Anywhere else, or is that a triangle? This is outside Harlow in the villages, so a lot of rural and arable areas. I suspect they are sticking to route people go in the villages as they turned up at Threshers Bush. Keep safe babies, we have to find you. x
