If she has ear marks has anyone looked at Greyhound Data the breeder could be on her records there. Have PetLog or the Greyhound Racing Board been contacted with the microchip number. The Greyhound Racing Board should still have the racing owner and trainers details. My two latest Greyhounds (ex-racers rehomed) were recorded on the Greyhound Racing Boards database and not Petlog. I had to pay Petlog £15 for each for them to get all the information to transfer them to being my Greyhounds.

Thanks Lesleyjane, adoption is an option but I am sure she has come from a home somewhere, what concerns me is it maybe someone elderly that doesn't have access to internet. Have advised all dogwardens and going to put up some posters later.

p.s we have searched your lost lurcher/greyhounds on lost section but nothing has come up matching 'kitty' as yet.

Thank you - I am a friend of Jane who has the dog, and am also registered with you as you found my dog last year. The dog has been identified as 'Kitty' a former racing greyhound. The dog is chipped and the vets have found that the owner of 'Kitty' has died and she was passed onto the next of kin who they are trying to trace. They are also trying to trace the trainer. Dog has tattoos in her ears but may not have raced for some time, so could be abandoned OR next of kin of previous owner could be looking for her. We do not want the dog collected by the dog warden as she has clearly been through enough trauma, she will be kept at Janes home until owner can be traced. She has a few bumps and scrapes and infestation of fleas which will be treated but other than that happy, calm and friendly. Jane will no doubt post an update later on. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to list this found dog and ensuring the safety of the dog.
Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
