I spoke to Mel.firth earlier this evening who is trying very hard to help Teds owners (who do not have Internet access )to find him.
It's believed that the gate to Teds garden blew open and he wandered out of his garden.
A lady has reported seeing him later walking along Watchouse Lane and the couple who took him into the vets to be scanned said they found him in Watchhouse Lane at around 5 pm. As previously mentioned this couple gave a contact phone number to the vets which will not connect and the people who came to the door at the address they gave as their address claim to know nothing about Ted !!
So far the finders have failed to report finding Ted to the dog warden but it is hoped they will do this on Monday morning as anyone finding a dog is required by law to do so.
Hoping this boy is found and back home where he belongs very soon Xx

Totally agree with you Mel. Whoever this person is they are connected in some way to the people registered at the vets. Not sure what you can do other than appeal to the vets better nature and try to get the address from them. Failing that write a letter stating that as long as Ted is delivered safely back to you, you will take the matter no further and ask the vets to deliver it to the people in question.Last edited: 2012-07-21 22:38:47 by AlisonH

the vets saw who brought him in but have no ccvt, they gave a name and an address and a phone number which the vets already have on the computer as being regestered with them so they thought they would be safe to let them take the dog home with them, when the vet the went to the persons house to say we had come forward a different person opened the door and claims to know nothing about it, the phone number seems to be an old one that just says unable to connect but there is something very strange about this as how would you be able to reel a name, address and a mobile phone number off the top of your head unless you had something to do with the family

Did the vets see the finder? they must know who left the phone no. Surely the vet must tell the real owners who these people are!!

Have emailed information sheets about lost and stolen dogs. If local co-ordinator isn't around I will try to help more later when I get back home.

The vets visited the people in question tonight and they have said that they dont know anything about it, they have been registered with the vets for 2 years and the phone number and the address matched the ones kept on their database, the police dont want to know so if anyone has any ideas please let us know, we just want our lovely dog back.

Owner called in at vets 16 Hall Villa Lane, Toll Bar, doncaster today and were told that a dog fitting Ted's description had been reported as found. They gave the owner a phone number that the finder had left but when the owner called the number it was unobtainable. The finder is a registered customer of the vets but because of data protection the vets would not disclose their address.Last edited: 2012-07-20 20:16:21 by AlisonH
