- Scootjockey/Gail I have emailed Tay's photo and she says it is definately not him, the dog she seen was a much darker brown/liver colour and his hair was shorter x

- Scootjockey, I can't say if there is any chance of this dog being your Tay, I have not seen it. I emailed Oscar's pic to someone who had seen this dog and she ruled him out immediately. She said the dog had a white body so I will send her Tay's photo. Will let you know asap.
I personally do not think this sighted dog is Shamus who was found in Seaton Delaval. Either there is a dog still in the woods in Ashington area or the dog sighted was actually with some one. All I can ask is anyone who walks in that area please keep a look out for a very skinny, seemingly very scared Liver and White Springer type dog with a full tail x - 2012-07-27 01:25 scootjockey
- Tay has just one spot on his left back side also ginger tip on semi docked tail. Any chance? xx

- I have spoken to Animal Welfare officer at Council and she has told me they have not had any reports of a Springer being caught in Ashington area, although they are aware of Shamus in Seaton Delaval x

- Thanks Gypsy, I am still trying to find out if this could be another dog, the 2 areas are about 10 miles apart so you would think the dog sighted Sat lunchtime would have been seen again if it travelled this far to be caught there on Sunday morning. Dog warden has not returned my call today.

- Have double checked this again and it would appear there was a definate sighting of this dog in the Wellhead Dene area but there is nothing to confirm that the dog was actually caught in this area. x

- Bazil I was told the Springer was found in Wellhead Dene which is next to the Wansbeck Riverside Park - NE63. Thats all I know I'm afraid x

- I know Michael, i am not sure but it is Trev who is on the case, he was giving this info, and he also said it was nowhere near to where he had been sighted. I am trying to find out more and still waiting for the dog warden to call me. Wondering if Gypsy can confirm the area he was caught xLast edited: 2012-07-23 12:12:27 by BBKM

- Bazil - is this definitely the same dog that was spotted at Riverside Park? The earlier posts below seem to be about a dog in Ashington, which is a long way from Holywell Dene where this dog appears to have been picked up and nowhere near NE63?

- A friend who has been helping me trace this dog has been told that a dog found in the Seaton Delaval area called Shamus was this dog and he has now been reunited.
Waiting for a bit more info then will move into reunited xLast edited: 2012-07-23 11:21:37 by BBKM - 2012-07-23 10:54 BBKM
- Still no further news. This is what I have done so far.
Telephone the following
RSPCA will not disclose to me if they have picked up this Springer. They do not collect strays unless injured, i do not know if this dog was injured? If they have him they will put him on their National dadtabase.
Telephone dog warden waiting to hear from him.
Telephone several vets and kennels no one had taking him in as yet.
Hoping for some positive news x

- Been told by someone who has actually seen this dog and she confirms it is a liver and white Springer Spaniel. It was seen in the fallowfield end of ashington and has been described as quite skinny and wearing a collar, but very nervous and unwilling to be caught. Last edited: 2012-07-21 20:31:56 by Gypsy
