- Well the age would be about right as I think Willy may be 12 or 13 looking at his face. Maybe someone should text Harvey's owner and ask them to have a look? Very difficult given the state of the fur but always worth chasing up.

- Hi Kathleen, I am so sorry that Harvey is still not home. Like you, we are all hoping that Harvey is caught by someone and returned to you very soon. You have done so much to find him. However he must be a very clever boy to be surviving all on his own out there.Come on Harvey- tell us all where you are hiding- show yourself.

- No new news re Harvey except that over the 5 months that He has been missing we have had 4 unconfirmed sightings of a dog which could well be Harvey. The last sighting was some time ago, about a month ago I think where he was spotted walking towards our next village, looking very unkempt. The guy who spotted him was a visitor to the area and was unaware that there was a missing dog but conversations between people gave us the information that he had thought it was a fox and then realised it was a small dog. So there is hope that it was Harvey and he appears to be returning to our area every now and again. I have high hopes that he is still alive and coping somehow but for how long, I do not know. I have been printing out another set of posters with the update that he has been seen near this other village and hope that someone will see him and phone me. I just found out about the 4th sighting by sheer accident, when I met someone walking a dog who told me about this 4th sighting. What a pity noone thought to tell me nearer the time. What a wonderful Christmas present it would be if we managed to get him home soon. Just have to keep hoping for that next sighting.

- We have placed two fox traps now so hope that Harvey will be attracted to some free yummy food soon. 14 weeks today since he vanished from us.

- Very pleased to hear of these sightings, hoping it is Harvey. Shelties are such clever and resourceful dogs that it wouldn't surprise me at all.

- Several sightings of a dog locally which looks like Harvey.

- A possible unconfirmed sighting of a dog similar to Harvey sighted at 6am in his own village on the 9th October. Maybe a fox but not typical of a fox. We can only hope that Harvey is still alive and surviving locally. Set a fox trap out on the hillside again. I wonder if I can dare to hope! He has been missing for over 12 weeks now.

- Shelties Mum, Harvey was literally yards from home and would have found his way back. He has just disappeared. Owner has other shelties in the family.Last edited: 2012-07-25 08:48:38 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland

- Shelties usually go back to the spot they went missing from and it might be an idea to put some of your scent down around that spot. They usually only run so far then stop, preferably in long grass if available. They are good at hiding. Was this Harvey's usualy patch, in other words should he know his way home?
